Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt; stir in oats and cornflakes. Set aside.
- Cream butter and sugars. Add egg and vanilla, then oil. Mix well.
- Add flour mixture; mix well.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes.

" FLAKY" OATMEAL-RAISIN COOKIES
This recipe was submitted by my friend Joy Lavin-Jones, for the Cal Fish and Game, Wild and Wonderful Recipes II. The added crunchiness comes from the corn flakes.

Steps:
- In a large saucepan, combine brown sugar and butter. Cream until well blended.
- Stir in eggs and mix well.
- Combine baking soda, baking powder, salt and flour. Fold into sugar-butter mixture.
- Stir in vanilla, raisins, oats, corn flakes, coconut and walnuts. Blend well.
- Scoop out balls of cookie dough with an ice cream scoop or tablespoon onto cookie sheets.
- Flatten each scoop slightly with palm or glass.
- Bake at 350° for 13-15 minutes.

CHEWY CRISPY COCONUT COOKIES
Crispy, chewy, coconut, oatmeal, cornflake cookies. Wow are these good!

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Stir in the egg and vanilla. Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt and baking powder; stir into the creamed mixture. Add the oatmeal, crushed cereal and coconut and mix until combined.
- Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet. Cookies should be about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Cookies should be light brown at the edges and on the bottom. Remove from baking sheets to cool on wire racks.

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease baking sheets.
- Combine the sugars and eggs, beating well. Beat in the oil butter or margarine, flour, baking soda and baking powder. Stir in the vanilla, lemon extract and salt. Mix in the oats, nuts and coconuts. Last but not least stir in the corn flakes. Drop by teaspoons on greased cooking sheets.
- Bake at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) for 10 minutes.

- Preheat oven to 350°F. Place 1 cup of the corn flakes in a food processor; cover and pulse until fine crumbs form.
- In a large bowl beat butter with a mixer on medium 30 seconds. Add both sugars, baking soda, salt, and cardamom. Beat until combined, scraping bowl as needed. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Beat in corn flake crumbs. Beat in flour. Stir in 3 cups of the corn flakes, the oats, and butterscotch chips.
- In a small bowl coarsely crush remaining 2 cups corn flakes. Drop dough by tablespoons into crushed cereal and roll to coat. Place balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet; flatten slightly.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light brown (centers may appear slightly underdone). Cool on cookie sheet 1 minute. Remove; cool on a wire rack.
