- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-by-12-inch baking pan with butter.
- Combine the oats and sugar in a medium bowl, then pour in the milk.
- Add the vanilla seeds, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and baking powder.
- Next comes the melted butter and the egg.
- Then just stir it all together into a big delicious oaty mess of wonder.
- Plop the mixture into the prepared pan and spread it out.
- Bake for 30 minutes, until set.
- Cut into squares while still warm. Serve with cream, brown sugar and berries.

- Press the manual setting and set the cooking time for 3 minutes on high. Once the cooking time ends, allow the oatmeal to sit in the pot to natural release the pressurized steam for 20 minutes. Flip the release valve using the end of a wooden spoon to release any residual steam and always face the lid away from you when opening.
- Add toppings of your choice with additional almond milk to taste. Oatmeal can be refrigerated for 3-5 days.

- Fill a half pint (jelly jar) half full of oatmeal.
- Add the goodies.
- Pour boiling water to just below the threads.
- Invert a few times,.
- Let sit for at least15 minutes.
- Add butter and milk if you want.
- The texture will be a bit different that what you cook on the stove.
- This can be made in a thermal container and it will stay hot much longer and results in a texture more like stovetop.
- Obviously 1 pint jar is 2 servings, 1 quart is 4 servings.
- Don't have a canning jar, use what you have. Fill it half full of oats and then top with boiling water after your goodies -- that's the trick.
