ORANGE SHERBET PUSH UP POPS

Orange Sherbet Push Up Pops image

Make orange sherbet push up pops at home. This yummy, refreshing frozen treat only requires three ingredients!

Provided by Lisa B.

Categories     Dessert

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 cups pineapple juice (chilled)
1 2-liter bottle orange soft drink, chilled
1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk

Steps:

  • Combine ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Stir to combine thoroughly.
  • Pour ingredients into the bowl of an ice cream mixer (I had to work in batches. I couldn't fit the entire bowl into my ice cream maker. Store the remainder in the fridge for the next batch). Process sherbet according to manufacturers directions.
  • While the sherbert is still soft. carefully pour it into plastic molds. Freeze upright for several hours until hard.

ORANGE PUSH-UP SMOOTHIE

Orange Push-Up Smoothie image

This smoothie tastes like a classic Orange PushUp. If you like Orange PushUps, Orange Creamsicles, Orange Julius, or orange soda, you'll love this easy, sweet and creamy smoothie. The recipe makes more than you may need at once. Pour the extra into glasses and thaw later for smoothies or pour into bowls for orange sherbet; or into popsicle molds, paper cups, or ice cube trays. Or simply halve the recipe. Add sugar to taste. It will vary significantly based on personal preference and brand of concentrate used. I used Hawaii's Own brand in the mango-orange flavor from Ralph's (Kroger) grocery. The smoothie is vegan provided vegan milk is used and is gluten-free.

Time 5m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 can orange juice concentrate, slightly thawed
1 cup milk (half and half, cream, nut milk, soy milk, vegan milk, etc.)
1/2 cup granulated sugar, or to taste (you can reduce the sugar or use an alternate sugar substitute such as stevia
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups ice, or to taste
1 to 2 ounces of Rum, Malibu, Vodka, Citron, Marshmallow Vodka, Gran Marnier or similar, per smoothie portion, or to taste, optional

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients, except ice and optional alcohol, in a large blender or Vita-Mix and blend until smooth and creamy, taking care the sugar has dissolved and is well incorporated. Keep blending until it dissolves. If desired, add a splash more water or milk.

ORANGE CREAM CAKE WITH COOL WHIP PUDDING FROSTING

Orange Cream Cake with Cool Whip Pudding Frosting image

Orange Cream Cake with Cool Whip Pudding Frosting is light, fuffy and full of citrus flavor! The zesty tanginess of this moist cake tastes like orange sorbet and makes a mind blowing dessert for any occasion!

Provided by Paula

Categories     Dessert

Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 box orange cake mix
1 box 3.4 oz Vanilla Instant pudding mix ((don't make the pudding recipe, we'll use it dry.))
1 cup canola oil
½ cup whole milk (I use 2%)
1 cup sour cream
4 large eggs
1 cup cold milk
3.5 ounce package instant pudding (dry) (I used French Vanilla Flavor)
8 ounce cool whip
1 tablespoon orange zest (usually it's the zest of one large naval orange)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahreinheit. Spray three 9 inch round cake pans with nonstick spray.
  • For the Cake: Mix the cake mix, vanilla instant pudding mix, vegetable oil, milk, sour cream and eggs with an electric or stand mixer until fluffy (about 2 minutes on medium speed).
  • Pour the cake batter evenly into your 3 prepared cake pans.
  • Bake for 25-27 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Cool on a wire rack 5 to 10 minutes before inverting. Allow to cool completely before frosting.
  • For the frosting: Whisk milk and pudding until pudding begins to get thick. Fold in Cool Whip and orange zest until well combined. Fold carefully to keep it light and fluffy.
  • Wait until the cake is completely cool before frosting. For a more professional cake, remove the domes from the tops of the cake layers with a cake leveler or large serrated knife. Place one layer of cake on a serving plate. Spread about 1 cup of the frosting on top in an even layer. Repeat with the next layer of cake and frosting, then top the cake with the final layer of cake (if you have 3 layers). Frost the outside of the cake. An offset spatula makesit really easy to get an even layer.

ORANGE PUSH UP

  • Put the marshmallows in a big microwave safe bowl (I have an 8 cup Pyrex bowl that is perfect for this)
  • Whisk the soft marshmallows with 1/2 cup soy creamer until smooth. You may have to return the mixture to the microwave for another minute or so to get the marshmallows to fully melt into the creamer.
  • Add the remaining 2 1/2 cups of creamer, orange juice concentrate & oil. Add a little orange food coloring if it needs to be jazzed up.

VANILLA ORANGE FROZEN YOGURT PUSH UP POPS | CRAFTYBAKING ...
I selected orange curd, rather than using real fruit compote, because it can be frozen for up to 1 month without quality changes when thawed. When real fruit has been boiled down and is then used in ice cream as a distinct layering, as in push-up pops, it tends to get icy due to the presence of ice crystals of such a size that they are noticeable when the ice cream is eaten.
