I like this recipe because it makes a lot so its great for showers, graduations and big parties. Tastes just like chinese chicken wings and very simple. If you are worried about salt you can always use low sodium soy sauce

5 lbs chicken wings
1 (8 ounce) bottle soy sauce
1 lb brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground mustard
2 -3 garlic cloves, minced

Steps:

  • mix all ingredients together add chicken wings and marinate for 2 days (I have also marinated for only 1 day) drain marinade and bake at 350 for 1 and 1/2 hours stirring occasionally.

Sounds good for an appetizer; recieved in an email *10/24/13- made with white rice. I reserved 1/3 of the sauce and in the last 15 minutes I drained all the sauce/juices from the pan and poured the reserved sauce over the wings and continued cooking; next time I will add some cornstarch and cook to reduce down and then add (per gailanng review) to get a nice glaze.*

1/2 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 cup honey
1 garlic clove, minced
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Place chicken in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Mix together the oil, soy sauce, ketchup, honey, garlic, salt and pepper Pour over the chicken.
  • Bake in preheated oven for one hour, or until sauce is caramelized.

1/4 cup orange juice
2 Tbsp. honey

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F.
  • Place chicken on foil-covered rimmed baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Bake 30 min. Transfer chicken to slow cooker; discard foil with any drippings.
  • Mix remaining ingredients until blended. Pour over chicken; stir to evenly coat. Cover with lid.
  • Cook on LOW 5 to 6 hours (or on HIGH 2-1/2 to 3 hours).

12 whole chicken wings (about 2 pounds)
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Cut chicken wings into three sections; discard wing tips. In a bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Set aside 1/4 cup for basting; cover and refrigerate. Place the wings in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow glass bowl. Pour the remaining marinade over wings; turn to coat. Seal or cover and refrigerate overnight. Drain and discard marinade. Place the wings in a shallow baking pan. Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 1 hour, brushing several times with reserved soy sauce mixture during the last 30 minutes of baking. Refrigerate any leftovers.

It's just not a party without wings. Give these Tex-Mex chicken wings a try, using Old El Paso™ chicken taco seasoning mix and a green hot sauce-ranch mixture for dipping. Game day has never tasted so good.

1/2 cup ranch dressing
1 tablespoon green hot sauce
1/3 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
2 packages (0.85 oz each) Old El Paso™ chicken taco seasoning mix
3 lb chicken wingettes and drummettes, patted dry
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh cilantro leaves, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 425°F. Line 18x12-inch rimmed sheet pan with foil. Place rack on top of foil. Spray rack and foil generously with cooking spray. In small bowl, stir together ranch dressing and hot sauce; cover and refrigerate.
  • In gallon-size resealable food-storage plastic bag, mix flour and taco seasoning mixes. Add chicken to bag; seal, and shake to coat chicken. Place in single layer on rack. Discard any remaining flour mixture. Brush both sides of chicken with melted butter.
  • Bake 25 minutes. Turn chicken. Bake 18 to 22 minutes longer or until juice of chicken is clear when thickest part is cut to bone (at least 165°F). Transfer to serving platter, and sprinkle with cilantro. Serve with dressing.
