1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons smoked paprika

4 pounds pork baby back ribs, cut into serving-size pieces
SAUCE:
3 medium ripe peaches, peeled and chopped
1 bottle (18 ounces) barbecue sauce
1/4 cup water
1 jalapeno pepper, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix seasonings; rub over meaty side of ribs. Place in a 6-qt. slow cooker. Cook, covered, on low 5-6 hours or until meat is tender., Before serving, combine peaches, barbecue sauce and water in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, 15-20 minutes or until peaches are softened, stirring occasionally. If desired, thin with additional water. Stir in jalapeno. Serve with ribs.

Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 tablespoons ancho chile powder
2/3 cup teriyaki-style barbecue sauce (such as Sweet Baby Ray's)
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon grated peeled fresh ginger
2 cloves garlic, grated
1/4 cup pineapple preserves
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 scallions, thinly sliced on an angle

Steps:

  • Generously season the ribs with salt and pepper, then rub with the vegetable oil and sprinkle with the chile powder, pressing to adhere. Whisk 1/3 cup barbecue sauce, the vinegar, ginger and garlic in a 6- to 8-quart slow cooker. Add the ribs and turn to coat in the sauce. Cover and cook on low until the ribs are tender, 7 hours.
  • Preheat the broiler. Transfer the ribs to a rimmed baking sheet. Remove 1/4 cup of the cooking liquid to a small bowl and whisk in the remaining 1/3 cup barbecue sauce, the pineapple preserves and ketchup.
  • Brush the pineapple sauce all over the ribs to coat completely; arrange bone-side down. Broil until the sauce is sticky and the ribs are lightly charred in spots, 3 to 5 minutes. Top with the scallions.

1/2 cup white vinegar
2 teaspoons seasoned salt

2 pounds boneless country-style pork ribs

Steps:

  • In a 3-qt. slow cooker, mix ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, seasoned salt and, if desired, liquid smoke. Add ribs; turn to coat. Cook, covered, on low 5-6 hours or until meat is tender., Remove pork to a serving plate. Skim fat from cooking liquid. If desired, transfer to a small saucepan to thicken; bring to a boil and cook 12-15 minutes or until sauce is reduced to 1-1/2 cups. Serve with ribs. 1 large onion, peeled, sliced and separated into rings
3 -4 lbs country-style pork ribs
1 cup tomato juice
1 cup vegetable cocktail (or instead of Tomato juice and the vegetable cocktail use 2 cups extra spicy Clamato Juice)
2 tablespoons molasses
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
salt and pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
4 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Place onion rings in the bottom of your crock pot.
  • Place ribs on top (trim off any excess fat).
  • Whisk together the remaining ingredients except the corn starch.
  • Reserve 1 cup--cover and refrigerate this cup.
  • Pour remaining sauce over the ribs, cover pot.
  • Cook at low for 5-6 hrs, drain ribs, keep warm.
  • In a small saucepan, add 1 1/2 tsp cornstarch already mixed in cold water to the reserved sauce , simmer until it thickens.
  • Serve with noodles, rice or gnocchi.

2 ½ lb rack of pork ribs, halved
1 cup honey
½ cup soy sauce
10 garlic cloves, minced

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, paprika, and chili powder. Season the ribs evenly with the mixture, making sure to rub it in on all sides.
  • Add the honey, soy sauce, and garlic to a large slow cooker. Transfer the ribs to slow cooker and turn them over in the sauce until coated. Position the ribs so they are standing up, with the meatier side down, and so the meat is against the walls of the slow cooker, with the bone sides facing in. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours, or low for 7-8 hours. Check after the allotted time to make sure the meat is cooked through and tender.
  • Remove the ribs and transfer to cutting board. Cut between the bones to separate into individual ribs. Serve with additional sauce from the slow cooker, as needed
