Peeps Spring Cupcakes Recipes
PEEPS® SPRING CUPCAKES
These playful PEEPS® cupcakes add a touch of spring to your Easter celebrations or springtime garden parties! You'll be delighted to find an edible egg surprise inside.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Place paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups.
- Make cake batter as directed on box. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups (about two-thirds full). Bake as directed on box for cupcakes. Cool in pans 10 minutes; remove from pans to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
- Using melon baller, scoop out center of each cupcake, about 1 inch deep. Fill each with 1 heaping teaspoonful jelly beans.
- Using photo as a guide, frost cupcakes with frosting; add small amount of edible grass, and top each with marshmallow chick. Store loosely covered.

- Spoon frosting into medium bowl; stir in enough food color until desired green color. Frost cupcakes with frosting; sprinkle with colored sugar. Top with yellow PEEPS® chick. Store loosely covered.

- Start off by preparing your cupcakes first. If you have a favorite bakery cupcakes that you want to use, feel free to use those. Or you can make your own using your preferred white cupcake recipe or you can also use a cake mix from the store. It's totally up to you. Follow the directions according to the recipe you are using.
- Once the cupcakes are out of the oven, start making the frosting. In a medium-sized bowl, add the store-bought frosting in the bowl and add 2 to 3 drop of the food coloring at a time until after stirring, you get the color you desire.
- After you get the color you desire, add the tip to the bottom of the piping bag and snip off the bottom of the bag. Then fill the piping bag with the frosting.
