2 packages Strawberry Koolaid (to simmer)
2 (8 ounce) cans frozen orange juice
3 cans water
2 (8 ounce) cans lemon juice
3 cans water
2 (46 ounce) cans pineapple and grapefruit juice
1 bottle maraschino cherries and juice
2 (28 ounce) bottles ginger ale

Steps:

  • Make up Koolaid according to package directions and heat to simmer..
  • This removes the koolaidy taste when punch is all made up..
  • All fruit juices and koolaid are to be mixed together 4 hours before serving.
  • Add Ginger Ale just before serving.

2 tablespoons sugar
3 cups cold water
2 bottles (64 ounces each) cranberry-raspberry juice, chilled
1 can (46 ounces) pineapple juice, chilled
1 can (12 ounces) frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 liter ginger ale, chilled
Decorative ice mold & lemon slices, optional

Steps:

  • In a punch bowl, dissolve sugar in water. Add juices and lemonade; mix well. Stir in ginger ale. If desired, top with a decorative ice mold and lemon slices. Serve immediately.

This is just the kind of recipe found in a Junior League or church cookbook. It is greatly improved upon by using fresh juices and sorbet instead of canned juice and sherbet. But, one can also use the old canned standby.

Yield makes 2 quarts

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 cups Fresh Cranberry Juice (page 240)
2 cups fresh pineapple juice
1 quart ginger ale
1 quart lemon or orange sorbet

Steps:

  • Stir together the cranberry juice, pineapple juice, and ginger ale in a large pitcher. Chill in the refrigerator until serving time.
  • To serve, place a scoop of sorbet into a glass and fill with punch.
