POMEGRANATE TEA | TURKISH TEA
Pomegranate Tea is a unique Turkish beverage made by blending and straining cooked pomegranate. A dash of lemon juice adds to the tanginess of the drink, which is resplendent with the naturally bright colour and vibrant flavour of pomegranate. When making the Pomegranate Tea, allow the cooked mixture to cool slightly and then blend it. Don't let it cool completely because the beverage must be warm while serving. Try other pomegranate recipes like Chatpata Pomegranate or Pomegranate Citrus Juice .

POMEGRANATE ICED TEA
This mocktail can be made with freshly squeezed juice from a pomegranate or by using Pomegranate Juice. To juice the pomegranate, cut it in half (as you would a grapefruit) and juice using a citrus reamer or a juicer. Pour mixture through a cheesecloth-lined strainer or sieve. One large pomegranate will produce about 1/2 cup of juice. I got this from a pomegranate site.

- Pour 1/4 cup of water in the small tea pot. Add in tea leaves (5 tablespoons for 6 people) and cover with its lid.
- Fill the large tea pot with water. Put them together (small one above the larger) on the stove over medium high heat. Bring it to boil.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes so that the heat reaches the tea leaves in the small tea pot.
- Transfer more than half of the water in the large tea pot into the small teapot. Fill the large one with additional water and put them back on the stove. Again the small tea pot over the large tea pot. Bring the water to boil first and reduce the heat to the lowest and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes. The tea will be brewed as the tea leaves will sink by the end of this time.

- Turkish Coffee. Turkish coffee is one of the most popular Turkish drinks around. Unlike standard drip coffee, this is all about fine crafting. In fact, it’s a tradition that gets passed down from generation to generation!
- Yayık Ayranı (Turkish Buttermilk) In the states, we have cow’s milk. In Turkey, they have yogurt milk. This three-ingredient cold drink is creamy and refreshing.

- Limonata (Turkish Lemonade) If the last drink was a little too adventurous, go with a refreshing Turkish lemonade instead. It’s similar to American lemonade, except it’s ultra-fresh.
- Rize Çayı (Turkish Black Tea) Tea is always welcome when you’re in Turkey. They have a huge tea-drinking culture and plenty of tasty recipes to try. When it comes to black tea, this Turkish brew is very strong and bitter.
- Salep (Turkish Hot Milk) Salep is a great winter drink for relaxing. From street vendors to cafes, you’ll find Turkish hot milk all over the place. Powdered salep consists of dried orchid tubers, and the starchiness is what gives the milk a creamy consistency.
