This is a easy and delicious recipe for pork chops. Wonderful served with mashed potatoes, rice or flat noodles, green salad and rolls.

4 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick
2 tablespoons butter
1 onion, thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon dried sage
1 teaspoon dried thyme
3/4 cup white wine
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Saute onion in butter.
  • Remove onions and keep warm.
  • Combine garlic, pepper, flour, sage and thyme and press onto both sides of meat.
  • Brown pork chops in pan with remaining butter, remove the chops.
  • Add 1/2 cup wine to pan and bring to a boil.
  • Return pork chops to pan and cover, reduce heat to a simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Remove pork chops and add remaining 1/4 cup wine to pan.
  • Broil over high heat until reduced to a syrupy glaze.
  • Pour sauce over chops and top with onions.
  • Enjoy--.

For this easy entree, just brush thick pork chops with a flavorful marinade of herb and olive oil, and then roast until done.

6 center-cut pork loin rib chops 1-1/2 inch thick or 6 pork loin rib chops, cut 3/4 inch thick
Salt and black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon snipped fresh thyme or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed

Steps:

  • Trim fat from meat. Season chops lightly with salt and black pepper.
  • In a bowl, stir together the olive oil and thyme, and brush over all sides of pork chops. Place chops on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.
  • Roast thick chops, uncovered, in a 350 degree F oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until juices run clear. Or roast 3/4-inch-thick chops, uncovered, in a 375 degree F oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until juices run clear. Makes 6 servings.

1/2 C. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cajun seasoning
1 & 1/2 tsp. thyme (fresh, divided)
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
4 boneless pork chops
4 Tbsp. unsalted butter (divided)
1/4 C. chicken broth
1/4 C. lemon juice
1 clove garlic (minced)
1/2 C. heavy cream

Steps:

  • Mise en place (always!). In a small bowl, whisk together flour, cajun seasoning, 1 tsp. of thyme, garlic salt, and onion powder. Dredge pork chops through flour mixture, coating thoroughly.
  • Heat 2 Tbsp. of butter in a large skillet over medium to medium-high heat. Once hot, place pork chops into skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes, until browned. Only move pork as much as needed to prevent over-browning.
  • Add 1 Tbsp. of butter, swirl around. Flip pork chops. Cook the other side 4-5 minutes, until browned. Remove pork from skillet.
  • Add broth, lemon juice, garlic, and remaining 1/2 tsp. of thyme. Reduce heat to medium-low and stir, making sure to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  • Add pork back into pan. Simmer on medium-low (or low) for 15-20 minutes, until pork is cooked through.
  • Remove cooked pork chops from pan. Plate on plate and cover to keep warm.
  • Add last tablespoon of butter and heavy cream to pan. Simmer on medium for 3-5 minutes, until sauce thickened to desired consistency.
  • Serve pork with sauce drizzled over.

2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves, divided
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 bone-in pork loin chops (7 ounces each)
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons olive oil

Steps:

  • In a resealable plastic bag, combine the wine or broth, 1 tablespoon thyme and garlic; add pork. Seal bag and shake to coat; refrigerate for 30 minutes. Turn and refrigerate 30 minutes longer., Drain and discard marinade. In a shallow bowl, combine the bread crumbs, salt, pepper and remaining thyme. Coat pork chops on both sides with crumb mixture. 3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried thyme
2 teaspoons grated lemons, rind of
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons olive oil
3/4 cup low-fat milk (1%)

Steps:

  • Put pork in large glass baking dish.
  • Mix 2 T lemon juice, thyme, lemon peel and garlic in small bowl and rub mix over both sides of chops.
  • Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour,& up to 1 day.
  • Put pork chops on baking sheet, sprinkling each lightly with flour, then salt and pepper.
  • Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over high heat.
  • Working in batches, add pork to skillet and cook until lightly browned, about 1 minute per side.
  • Return all pork to skillet.
  • Add milk and boil until pork is cooked through and sauce thickens slightly, about 1 minute (add more flour, if needed to thicken).
  • Transfer chops to platter.
  • Whisk remaining 1 T lemon juice into sauce in skillet and stir to blend, about 30 seconds.
  • Season with salt and pepper, then pour sauce over pork and serve.

2 tablespoons garlic-infused olive oil

1 medium onion, sliced lengthwise

½ cup sliced poblano-stuffed green olives
1 tablespoon capers, drained
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and sliced lengthwise

2 sprigs fresh thyme

Steps:

  • Use a paper towel to pat pork chops dry and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
