This came to me online from Taste of Home and is so good, a great potluck recipe that everyone keeps coming back for more. It also recommended " For those not watching their fat intake, add cheddar and Parmesan cheese" As an added bonus it's quick and easy to prepare

4 bacon, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (28 ounce) can baked beans
1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup ketchup
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, saute bacon and onion over medium heat until bacon is crisp; drain.
  • In a large bowl, combine the beans, brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and bacon mixture.
  • Pour into a shallow 2-qt. baking dish coated with cooking spray.
  • Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until heated through.

4 bacon strips, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can (28 ounces) baked beans
1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (15 ounces) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup ketchup
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, saute bacon and onion over medium heat until bacon is crisp; drain. In a large bowl, combine the beans, brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and bacon mixture. , Pour into a shallow 2-qt. baking dish coated with cooking spray. 1 onion, chopped
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
1 (30 ounce) can chili beans, undrained
1 (15 ounce) can butter beans, drained

Steps:

  • Thoroughly combine all ingredients in a slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low about 6 hours. Serve hot.

This is my Aunt Ro's recipe for baked beans. It's closer to chili than baked beans, and it's great for a potluck or BBQ.

8 ounces bacon
1 pound ground beef
½ cup chopped onion
2 (12 ounce) cans pinto beans, drained and rinsed
2 (15.5 ounce) cans canned butter beans, drained and rinsed
2 (15 ounce) cans canned baked beans with pork
1 cup barbeque sauce
1 cup ketchup
1 cup brown sugar, packed

Steps:

  • Place the bacon in a large, deep skillet and cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Drain on paper towels, crumble, and set aside. Drain bacon fat from the skillet.
  • Using the same skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat, stirring until the meat is no longer pink, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain.
  • Transfer the ground beef to a slow cooker. Add the pinto beans, butter beans, baked beans with pork, barbeque sauce, ketchup, and brown sugar to the ground beef mixture; stir to blend well. Cover and cook for 4 hours on High. Top each serving with crumbled bacon.
