I tried a version of this meaty parfait at Miller Park, the then-home of my favorite baseball team, the Milwaukee Brewers. I take it up a notch by adding layers of corn and creamy mac and cheese. It truly is a full barbecue meal you can take on the go. -Rachel Seis, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Ingredients

1 package (16 ounces) refrigerated fully cooked barbecued shredded pork
1 cup frozen corn
2 cups refrigerated mashed potatoes
2 cups prepared macaroni and cheese

Steps:

In each of four 1-pint wide-mouth canning jars, divide and layer ingredients in the following order: pulled pork, corn, mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese. Cover and freeze or refrigerate until ready to serve. When ready to serve, remove jar lids and microwave until heated through. , To serve from freezer, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight before microwaving.

1 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne
1 5-pound boneless pork butt (shoulder)
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
soft sandwich buns

Steps:

Combine all the seasonings in a small bowl and rub evenly over roast. Place meat in a 6-quart slow cooker. Add water. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH for 4-5 hours or until pork is very tender.
Remove pork to a large cutting board or platter and let rest for 10-15 minutes. Pull, slice or chop to serve. Serve in buns with barbecue sauce.
