The BEST Puppy Chow Snack Mix! Rice Chex coated in a thick chocolate and peanut butter layer with powdered sugar!

Ingredients

9 cups Rice Chex
1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/3 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups powdered sugar

Steps:

Pour the mixture on top of the cereal and gently stir until all the cereal is coated.
If your bowl has a lid, pour the powdered sugar on top of the cereal mixture (alternately you can do this in a large 2- gallon sized zip-top bag). Cover or seal and gently shake until the powdered sugar coats all the cereal. Break up clumps as they form and shake again.

Steps:

In a saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate; add peanut butter and mix until smooth.
Remove from heat, add cereal and stir until coated.
Pour powdered sugar into large plastic bag, add coated cereal and shake until well coated. Store in airtight container.

Pour over Crispix in large bowl.

Return the chocolate mixture to the microwave and microwave it for an additional 30 seconds. Remove the bowl and stir it again. If the chocolate chips are all melted, and you can stir the ingredients into a smooth mixture, do not return it to the microwave. But if there are still chunks left in the bowl, microwave it again in 10 second bursts until it is fully melted, stirring after each burst. Do not overcook the chocolate and peanut butter. You may scorch the chocolate, or it may seize into a chunky, grainy blob that will have to be thrown out.
