Steps:
- Combine cabbage and onion in a large bowl.
- In another bowl whisk together oil, lemon juice, mayonnaise, mustard and cumin.
- Pour over cabbage mixture.
- For best flavour allow to marinate a minimum of 2 hours before serving.
- Garnish with chopped walnuts.
BACON CABBAGE SALAD
I love sharing new recipes with you guys and this bacon cabbage salad is one you are going to love! It is a salad that my mom has been making for our family for over 15 years. It is surprisingly easy to make yet it comes out seeming so fancy. This was one of the recipes of my moms I was most excited to learn how to make.

Steps:
- In a large pan cook bacon until crisp
- Transfer bacon to a plate to cool
- Remove HALF, only HALF of the bacon grease from the pan
- Add cabbage to the bacon grease and cook until slightly tender (It should still be a bright purple. If you overcook it you will lose the vibrant color and be left with a purple cabbage)
- Add balsamic vinegar, chopped bacon and as many walnuts as you prefer and toss lightly
- Transfer to a serving plate and top with Feta cheese and Real Salt to taste

NORTH CROATIAN SIMPLE WHITE CABBAGE SALAD
This is another simple summer salads we usually eat in Croatia. It is standard restaurant salad you can get in most Croatian restaurants or households. You can use olive oil instead of normal, and cider vinegar. If you cool it, it is very refreshing during summer.

Steps:
- Cut cabbage into thin strips and put into salad bowl. Season cabbage with salt, pepper, vinegar, oil and add some water (more if you do not like so sour or less).
- Mix all ingredients and wait at least 30 minutes before serving. You can cool it in refrigerator if you like it cold.
RAW VEGAN RED CABBAGE SALAD
I love simple, raw, shredded salads, and this would be amongst my favorites. The first time I ate a version of this salad, it was made, and served to me, by a very proud 8 year old. That is how quick and easy it is. What I love about this cabbage salad is the vibrant colors. The luscious purple of the cabbage, and the fresh green herbs. It is the perfect balance for my aesthetic sensibility, and my mild palate. I have always been partial to the simplicity of an olive oil and lemon juice dressing, and this is no exception. For those of you who are not strictly raw or vegan this recipe does go to another level when it is topped with about four organic eggs chopped finely. This salad is so refreshing on a Summer's day, and can literally be made in 5 minutes.

Steps:
- Put cabbage, parsley, and onions into the food processor, and pulse quickly just a few times, until chopped roughly.
- Toss with olive oil and lemon, and season to taste. It is that easy.
- I have put the quantities as a rough guide - I probably use a LOT more olive oil and lemon juice. You might like less.
