Banana Nut Cheerios® cereal and peanut butter stir up into an easy no-bake snack bar.

4 cups Banana Nut Cheerios™ cereal
1 cup sweetened dried cranberries
1/3 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1/3 cup roasted unsalted sunflower nuts
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Spray 9-inch square pan with cooking spray. In large bowl, mix cereal, cranberries, almonds and sunflower nuts.
  • In 2-quart saucepan, heat corn syrup, brown sugar and peanut butter to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
  • Pour syrup mixture over cereal mixture; toss to coat. Press firmly in pan. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.

1 cup(s) sweetened dried cranberries
1/3 cup(s) slivered almonds,toasted

1/4 cup(s) creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon(s) pure vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Spray a 9 inch square pan with cooking spray
  • In a large bowl,mix cereal,cranberries,al.monds,and sunflower seeds ,
  • in a 2 quart saucepan,heat corn syrup,brown sugar,and peanut butter to boiling over medium-high heat,stirring constantly.
  • Boil and stir for one minute;remove from heat,stir in vanilla.
  • Pour syrup mixture over cereal mixture,toss to coat.
  • press firmly in a pan;cool completely,about 30 minutes

My sister gave me this recipe, which is always in demand with family, friends and co-workers. It's amazing how fast these tempting bars vanish when I serve them! The cream cheese frosting is heavenly.

1 cup butter, cubed
1/2 cup water
1-1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium)
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
FROSTING:
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3-1/2 cups confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, bring butter and water to a boil. Remove from the heat; set aside. In a large bowl, beat the sugars, bananas, buttermilk, eggs and vanilla until blended. Combine flour and baking soda; gradually add to sugar mixture. Beat in butter mixture until blended. Stir in nuts., Pour into a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 18-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. , For frosting, in a large bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Gradually add confectioners' sugar until smooth. Spread over bars. Store in the refrigerator.

2 carrots, grated
1 apple, grated
1 cup unsweetened applesauce
½ cup chopped peanuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Mix oats, bananas, carrots, apple, applesauce, and peanuts together in a bowl; spread into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 20 minutes.

3 tablespoons margarine (or butter, do not use spread or tub products)
1 (10 1/2 ounce) bag miniature marshmallows (5 1/2 cups)
6 cups Banana Nut Cheerios
1/3 cup sunflower seeds, roasted
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon canola oil

Steps:

  • Spray 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray. In large microwavable bowl, microwave margarine uncovered on High 30 to 45 seconds or until melted. Add marshmallows; toss until coated. Microwave uncovered on High 1 minute 15 seconds to 1 minute 45 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds, until mixture can be stirred smooth.
  • Stir in cereal and sunflower nuts until well blended. Press evenly in pan.
  • In small microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips and oil uncovered on High 45 to 60 seconds, stirring very 15 seconds, until melted and smooth. Drizzle over bars.
  • Cool 1 hour or until glaze is set. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows. Store loosely covered.

1 cup Cheerios™ cereal + Cheerios™ plus Ancient Grains cereal
1 cup mixed nuts
1/3 cup apricots, cut into large pieces
1 1/2 cup dry oats
1/4 cup oat bran
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon molasses
8 oz condensed milk
1 cup dark chocolate, cut into large pieces (or chips)
1 cup white chocolate, cut into large pieces (or chips)

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine Cheerios™, nuts, apricots, dry oats, oat bran and chia seeds. Set aside.
  • In a small pot on medium heat, combine molasses and condensed milk, let boil.
  • Add the condensed milk mixture to dry ingredients. Mix well until everything is combined.
  • Add the mixture to a rectangular mold covered in parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes on 350 °F or until golden. Remove from oven and let cool.
  • Melt chocolate in the microwave in 20 second increments. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the baked mixture, alternating between white and dark chocolate. Use a pointy knife or a toothpick to make circular movements and create a marbled effect on the chocolate. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes or until the chocolate hardens. Cut into desired size, serve and enjoy.
