White Russian image

Sometimes referred to as an adult milkshake, the White Russian is a classic cocktail that's creamy, boozy and has just the right amount of coffee flavor. When making each one, the cream is poured off the back of a spoon for a neat layer on top. Enjoy this subtly sweet three-ingredient drink as an after-dinner indulgence.

1 ounce (about 2 tablespoons) coffee-flavored liqueur, such as Kahlua
1 ounce (about 2 tablespoons) vodka
1 ounce (about 2 tablespoons) heavy cream

Steps:

  • Fill a rocks glass with ice. Pour the coffee liqueur and vodka into the glass, then gently pour the cream off the back of a spoon on top. Serve with a straw and stir before drinking.

2 ounces Kahlua (recommend Dana's Homemade Kahlua)
2 ounces vanilla vodka
1 ounce Creme de Cacao
2 scoops premium vanilla ice cream
toasted sweetened flaked coconut, garnish
unsweetened cocoa, garnish

Steps:

  • In a blender, combine the coffee liqueur, vodka, creme de cacao and ice cream.
  • Blend until frothy.
  • Pour into 2 glasses.
  • Garnish with the coconut flakes and cocoa and serve immediately.
