SAND PUDDING RECIPE

Steps:

• Add Vanilla Wafers and 2 Oreos to your food processor and crush until they resemble sand.
• In a smaller bowl, cream together softened 8 ounce cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar.
• In another larger bowl, mix pudding with milk.
• Add pudding mixture to the cream cheese mixture.
• Fold in all of the Cool Whip.
• Layer into bucket in this order: sand, pudding, sand, pudding, etc.
• Notes:.
• Allow to chill in fridge at least 1 hour before serving.

Steps:

• In a mixing bowl, whisk together the pudding mixes and milk until it thickens, 1to 2 minutes. Refrigerate. In another bowl and using a mixer, beat together the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Add to the pudding mixture and blend on low speed of mixer just until incorporated. Using a spatula, gently fold in the Cool Whip. Refrigerate. Grind vanilla wafers and Oreos together in a food processor using the steel blade to a fine crumb that resembles sand. ASSEMBLY: Layer the "sand" and pudding in the bucket several times, starting and ending with "sand". Now dig in with the shovel! Keep refrigerated.

DIRT CAKE I

Steps:

• Chop cookies very fine in food processor. The white cream will disappear.
• Mix butter, cream cheese, and sugar in bowl.
• In a large bowl mix milk, pudding and whipped topping together.
• Combine pudding mixture and cream mixture together.
• Layer in flower pot, starting with cookies then cream mixture. Repeat layers.
• Chill until ready to serve.
• Add artificial flower and trowel. Enjoy!

BEACH SAND PUDDING DESSERT

Steps:

• Place vanilla wafers into a blender or food processor and blend until coarse crumbs, set aside.
• In a large mixing bowl, beat pudding mixes and milk with an electric mixer for 2 minutes until thickened.
• In a smaller bowl, beat together (no need to clean off beaters) cream cheese and powdered sugar.
• Add in half of the container of Cool Whip, beat until combined. Add cream cheese mixture into pudding mixture and beat until smooth.
• To assemble desserts, layer 2 tablespoons crushed vanilla wafers and 1/3 cup pudding mixture into each mini beach pail (or layer into a medium-sized beach sand bucket), repeating layers until almost to the top.
• Divide remaining Cool Whip among beach pails, spreading out to edges of pail. Top with another 1-2 tablespoons of crushed vanilla wafers.
• Decorate each with a Swedish Fish candy and an umbrella toothpick. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

SAND DESSERT AKA VANILLA "DIRT DESSERT"

Steps:

• Crumble cookies in food processor. Set aside.
• In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, butter and powdered sugar.
• Mix in pudding.
• Slowly add milk.
• Mix until combined.
• Fold in Cool Whip.
• Using a clean sand bucket or casserole dish, alternate layers of cookie crumbs with the pudding mixture.
• Chill for at least 2 hours.
• IMHO it tastes better if you make it a day ahead.

SAND BUCKET DIP

Steps:

• Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the panko and cook, stirring occasionally, until toasted. Add a pinch of salt and toss to combine. Let cool completely.
• Combine the sour cream, chives, onion powder, garlic and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a medium bowl. Stir well until combined.
• Fill a tall sand bucket with ice about three-quarters of the way to the top. Transfer the sour cream mixture to a bowl that will fit just inside the top of the sand bucket. Cover the sour cream dip with the toasted panko. Serve with a plastic shovel and lots of star-shaped crackers.

EASY DIRT AND SAND DESSERT CUPS

Steps:

• Crush cookies in zipper-style plastic bag with rolling pin. Or, place in food processor container; cover and process until finely crushed.
• Beat pudding mix and milk in large bowl with whisk 2 min. Let stand 5 min. Stir in COOL WHIP and 1/2 of the crushed cookies.
• Place about 1 Tbsp. of the remaining crushed cookies in each of 10 (6 to 7-oz.) paper or plastic cups. Spoon in pudding mixture; top with remaining crushed cookies.
• Refrigerate until ready to serve. Garnish with fruit snacks just before serving. Store leftover desserts in refrigerator.

BUCKET OF MUD

Steps:

• Pulse the sandwich cookies in a blender until finely ground; set aside. Pour the milk into a mixing bowl, then whisk in the pudding mix until no dry lumps remain. Beat together the cream cheese and margarine until smooth, then stir in the pudding. Fold in the cookie crumbs and whipped topping until evenly blended. Spoon into a clean child's bucket, cover, and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.

SAND "CAKE"

Steps:

• Crush wafers in large sealable plastic bag with rolling pin. (Or, process in food processor or blender until finely crushed.).
• Pour milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 minutes or until well blended. Let stand 5 minutes. Gently stir in whipped topping and half of the crushed wafers. Spoon into 13x9-inch dish; sprinkle with remaining crushed wafers.
• Refrigerate 1 hour or until ready to serve. Decorate with fruit snacks. Store leftover dessert in refrigerator.
