SABUDANA SALAD
QUICK snack or breakfast made from sabudana, cucumber, coconut and few fruits. This is very filling to the stomach during vrat

Steps:
- Wash sabudana very well at least 2-3 times. Or wash them in strainer under running cold water.
- Soak them in enough water for 2-3 hours to overnight according to your sabudana type. Soaking time depends on the type and quality of sabudana. Mine required 3 hours soaking only.
- when you press between your fingers it should mash easily. That's how you know that your sabudana is soaked perfectly.
- Drain all the water and keep in colander for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a pan on medium heat.
- Once hot add peanuts and cashews. Saute with stirring constantly till they get light brown color.
- Now add sabudana and mix. Cook for 2-3 minutes or till they turn translucent and soft.
- Turn off the stove. Remove it to a bowl.
- Add remaining salad ingredients and mix well.
- Serve this right away.

This is a great dessert that can be made up quickly using things we always have on hand! (time to make does not include chilling time, throw together before dinner, and it will be ready for dessert!).

- Combine all ingredients except yogurt in large bowl.
- Gently stir in vanilla yogurt.
- Cover and chill one hour before serving.
- Suggestion: Try other fruits in addition.

SARASOTA'S FAVORITE CREAMY MUSTARD SALAD DRESSING
This is a great flavorful dressing made right in the blender. It makes a fair amount so you can cut the recipe in 1/2, but I make the whole recipe and then refrigerate for later in the week. I often have a small salad for lunch and this is perfect with it. I love to serve this with Recipe #413909.

- Simply add the mustard, sour cream, vinegar, worcestershire, garlic, sugar into a blender or small food processor and blend until smooth and creamy, just a minute or so. Then slowly add in the oil with the blender on low. Last, add the dill in the last few seconds, pulse to combine and check for salt and pepper seasoning.
- Refrigerate and serve over your favorite salad. I like to serve this over Recipe #413909.
SARASOTA'S SWEET & SPICY TOMATO SALAD DRESSING
I love tomatoes in any form. This is a favorite dressing which is easy and is just a nice twist on a standard vinaigrette. Chilled iceberg, thin sliced onion, bacon and cucumber is great with this. Top it with some sliced hard boiled egg for a great salad.

- Dressing -- Just mix all in a small bowl or dish and chill until ready to use.
- Serve -- Over your favorite. As I mentioned, I love iceberg lettuce, bacon, onion, cucumber and hard boiled eggs. But use your favorite.

SARASOTA'S HAM AND SWISS CHEESE SALAD
This is sort of a "NO-measurements" salad. Ham, cheese, olives, onion and lettuce. I like more olives where others may like more cheese or ham. This just reminds me of a ham and cheese sandwich I had back in MI many years ago. Thick slices, crisp lettuce and a creamy mustard sauce, Recipe #413903.

- Salad -- Just rough chop the lettuce, add the ham, swiss cheese, whole olives and Durkee onions (more or less depending on what you like. I save some for the top as well as a garnish. Now if you can't find the Durkee fried onions, just use a regular white onion. I just like the crunch the Durkee onions gives the salad. I like to lightly season with salt and pepper and then drizzle your favorite dressing over the top and toss well. I like to serve it with Recipe #413903. The creamy mustard dressing goes perfect with this. You can also use a ranch dressing or your favorite vinaigrette.
- It is a simple classic recipe, but I absolutely love it. And feel free to add more or less ingredients as needed. ENJOY!
