Steps:
- In the bowl of a food processor, pulse flour, dry milk, and salt. Add butter and pulse until mixture resembles wet sand. Add cheese and pulse until combined. Drizzle in 4 to 6 tablespoons ice water, pulsing just until dough begins to come together.
- Roll dough into an 8-inch-long log. Divide dough into 2 equal-size logs, wrap both tightly in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Meanwhile, remove and unwrap 1 log. Using a wire cheese cutter, slice log into thirty 1/8-inch-thick rounds. Transfer to 2 parchment-lined baking pans (preferably insulated), spacing rounds about 1 inch apart.
- Bake until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes, rotating pans halfway through. Transfer crackers to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Repeat Steps 3 and 4 with remaining log. To package, line the compartments of 4 boxes with parchment. Divide 1 batch among the boxes, placing 15 crackers in one compartment of each box. Repeat with batches of other variations.
- Assemble ingredients for basic cracker recipe. In Step 1, select Parmesan for cheese. Follow directions for basic cracker recipe above, but after Step 2, place finely chopped walnuts in a shallow bowl. In Step 3, lightly press 1 side of each round into walnuts before transferring, nut side up, to baking pans.
- Assemble ingredients for basic cracker recipe. In Step 1, select smoked Gouda for cheese. Follow directions for basic cracker recipe above, but after Step 2, in a shallow bowl, combine poppy seeds, sesame seeds, kosher salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. In Step 3, lightly press 1 side of each round into seed-spice mixture before transferring, seed side up, to baking pans.
- Assemble ingredients for basic cracker recipe. In Step 1, add white cornmeal and powder to dry ingredients, and select Cheddar for cheese. Follow directions for basic cracker recipe above.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350˚F (180˚C).
- In a large bowl with an electric hand mixer add the cheddar cheese, butter, Savory spice blend, and salt until well combined.
- Mix in the flour and add the ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until the dough holds together but crumbles apart if you break it up in your hand. If it seems too dry, add a little more ice water.
- Divide the dough into 2 halves and pack together in discs. Wrap in parchment paper and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Roll out dough to ⅛-inch (½-centimeter) thick, pinching the cracks on the ends. Cut into 1-inch (2½-centimeter) squares and poke a hole in the center of each square for ventilation during baking.
- Separate the crackers and place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 13 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Enjoy!

SAVORY CRACKER SNACK MIX
A Taste of Home recipe inspired this one! Because I love everything bagel seasoning, I decided to give this a try. A friend later suggested I make the mix more versatile with something other than oyster crackers, and now it's a deliciously addictive snack! -Cyndy Gerken, Naples, Florida-Cyndy Gerken, Naples, Florida

SAVOURY SEEDED CRACKERS
Crunchy and snappy, these crackers are fantastic with a wedge of cheese and some of my Pretty pickled veg, they pair perfectly with pâté, and can even be used with dips for dunking. They're fun to make, and you can lace them with different toppings, if you wish.

Steps:
- This works great as a stand-alone recipe, but also as a component in Jamie's Picnic Love from Together - see the full collection of menus here.
- ON THE DAY Put the flour and rapeseed oil into a bowl with a pinch of sea salt, add 125ml of water, and mix into a dough. Knead for 2 minutes, then rub the dough with oil, cover, and leave to rest for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/gas 4. With oiled hands, halve the dough, then press, flatten and stretch out each piece on to large oiled trays until super-thin, patching up any tears as you go. Evenly divide and scatter over all the seeds, with a pinch of sea salt. Pat the seeds in really well, then bake for 25 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Once cool, snap and wrap, ready to go. They're exceptional on the day you make them, but I enjoy them for a few days afterwards, too - keep them in an airtight tin, ready to tuck into.
