1 box Goldwater's Chili mix
2 lbs ground beef or other meat
1 can (28 Oz) Tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
1 can water or beer
1 can pinto beans
1 can kidney beans
1 can Black beans

Steps:

  • Brown meat and drain excess fat. Add tomatoes, water and chili mix. Simmer for 1/2 hour, stirring occasionally. Add rinsed, drained beans. Simmer for an additional 1/2 hour

1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
2 cups onions, Chopped
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin, Ground
salt

Steps:

  • Soak beans in water overnight.
  • In a large Dutch oven, cook beef until browned, stirring to keep crumbly.
  • Drain off drippings, if needed.
  • Add tomato paste, onions and drained beans.
  • Mix chili powder, cumin and season to taste with salt.
  • Stir into mixture.
  • Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer until beans are tender, about 5 hours.
