My favorite pork recipe that a friend shared with me and I have to share with you! Few ingredients, easy to prepare, and excellent flavor. What's not to like? This pork is great by itself or sliced up over a salad.

⅓ cup soy sauce
⅓ cup honey
1 ½ teaspoons chopped garlic
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 (1 1/4 pound) pork tenderloins, cut into 2-inch pieces

Steps:

  • Place soy sauce, honey, garlic, and dry mustard into a large resealable plastic bag. Squeeze the bag to thoroughly mix the marinade and add pork tenderloin pieces to the bag. Squeeze bag several times to coat pork with marinade, squeeze air from bag, and seal. Refrigerate pork at least 1 hour or up to overnight.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil the grate. Remove pork from marinade and discard used marinade.
  • Grill pork on the preheated grill until seared and the juices run clear, 4 to 5 minutes per side. An instant-read meat thermometer inserted into the pork should read at least 145 degrees F (65 degrees C).

4 boneless pork loin chops (1/2 inch thick)
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 tablespoon butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup honey barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon cold water

Steps:

  • Sprinkle pork chops with seasoned salt. In a large skillet, brown chops on both sides in butter over medium-high heat. Remove chops. , In the drippings, saute onion until golden brown. Add the water, brown sugar, barbecue sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Return chops to the skillet. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 minutes or until a thermometer inserted in pork reads 145°. Remove chops; keep warm., Combine cornstarch and cold water until smooth; gradually stir into skillet. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Serve with pork.

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons vinegar

2 cups soy sauce
1 cup water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon dark molasses
6 pork chops (1 to 1-1/2 inches thick)
SAUCE:
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup chili sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, combine the soy sauce, water, brown sugar and molasses; bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Pour into a shallow glass container or large resealable plastic bag; add pork chops and turn to coat. Cover or seal and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Drain, discarding marinade; place chops in a shallow ungreased baking pan. Cover and bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring until smooth. Brush over both sides of the chops. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes longer or until pork is no longer pink and glaze is lightly browned.

  • In a skillet, heat a small amount of oil and brown both sides of the pork chops.

4 pork loin chops (about 1/2 pound/2.50g each), cut 1 inch/2.5 cm thick
salt and pepper
For the classic barbecue sauce:
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 lemon
1/2 cup/100 g brown sugar
1/4 cup/60 ml vinegar
1/2 cup/125 ml tomato ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon chili powder, or to taste

Steps:

  • Make the barbecue sause:
  • heat the oil in a frying pan and sauté the onion and garlic until soft and lightly browned, 4-5 minutes. Grate the zest from the lemon and squeeze the juice. Add the lemon zest, half the lemon juice, the sugar, vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce and chili powder to the onion and simmer gently, 5 minutes. Taste, adjust the seasoning and let cool.
  • Light the grill. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper and brush with the cooled barbecue sauce. Grill them, basting often, 5-7 minutes. Turn over and continue grilling and basting until the chops are done, 5-7 minutes longer.

4 slices onion
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
3/4 cup barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon water
2 teaspoons cornstarch

Steps:

  • Place pork chops in 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker. Top each chop with onion slice and sprinkle with garlic. Pour barbecue sauce over chops.
  • Cover and cook on low heat setting 5 to 6 hours.
  • About 5 minutes before serving, remove pork from cooker; place on serving platter and cover to keep warm.
  • Mix water and cornstarch in 2-cup glass measuring cup or small microwavable bowl until smooth. Pour 1 cup of the juices from cooker into cornstarch mixture; mix well. Microwave uncovered on High 1 to 2 minutes, stirring once halfway through cooking, until mixture boils and thickens slightly. Serve sauce with pork.
