Serve these yummy sandwiches to company, and they will be begging for the recipe!

3 lbs boneless beef round steak (cut into several large pieces)
2 onions (chopped)
3/4 c celery (thinly sliced)
1/2 c ketchup
1/2 c to 3/4 water
1/3 c lemon juice
1/3 c Worcestershire sauce
3 T brown sugar (packed)
3 T cider vinegar
2 t mustard
2 t salt
1 t pepper
1 t chili powder
1/2 t paprika
1/2 t hot pepper sauce
12 sandwich buns (split)

Steps:

  • Spray your crock pot with cooking spray
  • Put your meat chunks, onions and celery in your crock pot
  • Mix together everything else (except for your sandwich buns) and pour over your meat, onions and celery
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, your meat will be tender when it is done
  • Take your meat out of your crock pot and let it cool slightly before shredding
  • Place shredded meat back in your sauce and stir until thoroughly mixed and heated through
  • Serve on your sandwich buns

Tender shredded beef with an easy homemade barbecue sauce served on a toasted bun. An easy and delicious dinner!

3 pound beef chuck roast
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp pepper
½ cup ketchup
2 Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp red wine vinegar
1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp liquid smoke

Steps:

  • Cut your roast into 6 even pieces. Cut off excess fat.
  • Sprinkle the roast with the salt and pepper.
  • In a small bowl whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, red wine vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke. Pour the mixture over the meat and stir to coat the meat.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours depending on your slow cooker.
  • Shred the meat and add it back into the pot and stir to coat the meat in the sauce.
  • Serve the meat on toasted buns or rolls.

½ cup ketchup
½ cup Italian dressing
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon molasses
2 pounds flat iron steak, cubed
1 tablespoon dried chopped onion
4 hoagie rolls, split lengthwise and toasted
1 cup prepared coleslaw

Steps:

  • Mix the ketchup, Italian dressing, soy sauce, and molasses in a small bowl. Place the steak in slow cooker, sprinkle with onions, and pour the ketchup mixture over the steak.
  • Turn the slow cooker to High and cook for 1 hour. Reduce the heat to Low and continue cooking until the meat is tender, about 4 hours. Serve on hoagie buns and top with 1/4 cup coleslaw, if desired, for a Southern BBQ flavor.

2 1/2 to 3 lbs lean chuck roast or bottom round
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup wine vinegar
2 tablespoons spicy or Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Place the beef roast in the crockery insert of the slow cooker . If the roast is quite large, cut it in half or into quarters.
  • In a bowl, combine the ketchup, brown sugar , vinegar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir to blend thoroughly then pour over the roast.
  • Cover the pot, and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
  • Remove the roast, and shred the beef, discarding excess fat. Return the beef to the slow cooker, and stir to coat well with the sauce.
  • Spoon the shredded barbecue beef over toasted sandwich buns , and serve with your favorite barbecue sauce, if desired.

1 (18 ounce) bottle barbeque sauce
1 ½ (16 ounce) packages (4-pack) whole wheat hamburger buns, split

Steps:

  • Place chicken in a slow cooker and pour barbecue sauce over top.
  • Cover and cook on Low until chicken is tender and can easily be pulled apart with a fork.
  • Remove chicken breasts from the slow cooker. Separate meat and bones; discard bones. Shred chicken with a fork.
  • Place chicken on buns with some extra sauce from the slow cooker.

1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon butter
1 can (15 ounces) tomato puree
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup steak sauce
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 boneless pork shoulder butt roast (3 pounds)
10 hard rolls, split
Coleslaw, optional

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, saute onion in butter until tender. Stir in the tomato puree, brown sugar, steak sauce, lemon juice and salt. Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and heated through., Place roast in a 5-qt. slow cooker; pour sauce over the top. Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours or until meat is tender. Remove roast; cool slightly. Skim fat from cooking juices. Shred meat with two forks and return to the slow cooker; heat through. Serve on rolls. Top with coleslaw if desired.
