This Crock Pot Hamburger Stroganoff is super easy and a great meal that the entire family will love....from the youngest at your table to the oldest!

16 oz pkg wide egg noodles
2 lbs ground beef
1 onion (chopped)
21 oz cream of mushroom soup ((2 - 10.5 oz cans))
1 cup sour cream
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Prepare your egg noodles per the instructions on the package and drain.
  • While your noodles are cooking, cook your ground beef with your onions and drain.
  • Pour your cooked hamburger and onions in your 6-quart crock pot.
  • Add in your soups and sour cream and stir.
  • Pour in your drained noodles, add salt and pepper and stir until well combined.
  • Cover and cook on high for 1 hour.

  • Spray crock pot with non stick vegetable spray.
  • Layer potatoes, onions and hamburger until all is used, sprinkling each layer very lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Mix soup and milk together and pour over top.
  • Cook 3 to 4 hours on high.

There are some recipes similar to this but not quite. We didn't have much in the house to eat when I came up with this recipe. I just added stuff as I went along. You can tweak it to your tastes. Hope you enjoyed it as much as my family did.

1 lb lean hamburger
1 onion, diced
6 medium potatoes, diced
6 cups water
3 -4 tablespoons beef bouillon granules
2 tablespoons of minced garlic
salt and pepper, to taste if desired
1/2 lb egg noodles

Steps:

  • In a skillet cook your hamburger and onions together until done and drain grease. In 2 cups of water add your beef granules and allow to sit for a few minutes while your hamburger cooks. Spray crock pot and add your diced potatoes and add hamburger and onion. Pour the 2 cups with beef granules over the potatoes and hamburger mixture. Add your minced garlic then. Cook on high for 2 hours. Then add 4 more cups of water and your egg noodles and cook for another 30 minutes or so til egg noodles are done. Add your salt and pepper if you desire. Might already be flavored enough so I suggest you try a taste first.

1 ½ pounds ground beef
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
½ cup sour cream
4 ounces processed cheese (such as Velveeta®)
½ teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
½ teaspoon chopped fresh thyme

Steps:

  • Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil. Cook egg noodles at a boil until tender yet firm to the bite, about 6 minutes. Drain.
  • Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper, until no longer pink in the center, about 8 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). Drain; reserve drippings in the skillet.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low. Pour chicken broth, chicken soup, sour cream, cheese, rosemary, and thyme into the skillet. Cook and stir, seasoning with salt and pepper, until well combined and the cheese is melted, 5 to 7 minutes. Reduce heat to low.   • In a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. In a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, onion and beef; sprinkle with salt and pepper. 4 yellow potatoes, we used yukon gold potatoes
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
3 cups flour
1 tablespoon butter
½ cup bacon, diced
1 cup chicken broth
½ cup white wine
1 bunch green onion, chopped
water, to boil
salt, for boiling water

Steps:

  • Peel potatoes. Cut them into 1-inch (2 ½ cm) slices and boil them in salted water for 25 minutes or until they are tender.
  • After boiling, take them out and let them cool for 10 minutes, allowing them to steam to remove excess moisture.
  • Mash potatoes until no lumps remain.
  • Add eggs, salt, nutmeg, and 2 cups (250 grams) flour, and knead into a dough. If dough is too sticky, add more flour until it holds its shape but is still smooth.
  • Put a piece of dough on a floured surface and roll into a 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick log.
  • Cut in 1-inch (2.5 cm) pieces and roll them carefully in your floured palm for a noodle shape. Repeat with the remainder of the dough.
  • Boil noodles in a large pot with salted water. Stir carefully once or twice to make sure noodles don't stick to bottom of the pan. Once they float on the surface, they are cooked and ready to be taken out.
  • In a medium-sized pan, melt the butter.
  • Add noodles and bacon and fry until both are golden brown on all sides.
  • Add chicken broth and white wine and let reduce for a few minutes until sauce becomes slightly creamy.
  • Top with green onions before serving.
