For a smoothie that's only about 200 calories, follow our formula and use 1 cup fresh fruit or vegetables and/or cooked, frozen vegetables + 1 cup fruit juice. Blueberries and grape juice are featured here.

- --COMBINE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING WITH STARTER IN YOUR BLENDER, THEN PROCESS UNTIL SMOOTH.
- 1 cup strawberries+ 1 cup sour cream= STRAWBERRIES & CREAM. --------------- 1 cup drained or frozen peaches+ 1 cup sour cream= PEACHES & CREAM. -----------------
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder= CHOCOLATE. -------------- 1/4 cup cocoa powder+ 1/2 cup raspberries= CHOCOLATE RASPBERRY.---------------- 1/4 cup cocoa powder+ 1/3 cup peanut butter= CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER CUP. ---------------- 1/4 cup cocoa powder+ 1 teaspoon mint extract= CHOCOLATE MINT. -----------
- 1/3 cup peanut butter+ 1 cup fresh or frozen berries= PEANUT BUTTER & JELLY (Sounds strange but is absolutely delicious).

SOURDOUGH STARTER MIX
This recipe belonged to my grandmother and has been passed down for generations. It is easy, keeps well, and essential to have in the kitchen.

Steps:
- Pour the water into crock or a wide mouth gallon jar.
- Pour in the yeast and let it dissolve. Add vinegar and flour, mix well.
- Cover with cloth and set in warm place to sour (2-3 days).
- When activity stops, the mixture flattens out.
- An amber colored liquor comes to top.
- AND IT SMELLS-- THAT'S IT.
- Mix it up.
- It will look like whipping cream.
- Put it in a glass jar with screw type lid, place in refrigerator.
- It will keep for months growing better as it continues to age at a very slow pace.
- It's super in pancakes, waffles, coffee cake, rolled biscuits, quick drop biscuits, cinnamon rolls, cobblers,bread, cake, etc.

MIXED BERRY SNACK-SIZED SMOOTHIE RECIPE BY TASTY

This ridiculously easy mini smoothie requires just three ingredients: milk or non-dairy milk, Greek yogurt (or vegan soy yogurt), and your favorite mix of frozen berries. Put all of that into a blender until it's a smooth consistency, and enjoy!
