One Skillet Kielbasa Sausage and Pierogies image

A delicious one skillet meal made with flavorful kielbasa sausage, cheesy pierogies and fresh green beans.

2 tablespoons olive oil
13 ounces fully-cooked Kielbasa turkey sausage (sliced into rounds)
1 16 ounce package frozen cheese pierogies (there's no need to thaw these in advance)
1 cup chopped onion
10 ounces frozen cut green beans (there's no need to thaw these in advance)
Salt and pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Saute sausage, pierogies, and onion in oil until golden brown and heated through (about 7-8 minutes per side). During the final 5-7 minutes of cooking, add green beans to the skillet and cook until tender.
  • Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

Smothered Pierogies and Kielbasa Skillet image

1 Tablespoon butter
1 onion, minced
1 yellow pepper, chopped
8 oz mushrooms, chopped
8 oz Polish Kielbasa, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Herbes de Provence
salt and black pepper to taste
1 Tablespoon butter
10 Pierogies
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Heat a cast iron skillet over medium heat melt the butter. Saute the onion, peppers, mushrooms and kielbasa for 5 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic, Herbes de Provence, salt and pepper. Cook for aanother 2 minutes. Then scrape the entire contents of the pan into a bowl and cover it with foil to keep it warm while you cook the pierogies.
  • In the same skillet, cook the pierogies according to the directions for pan frying. Mine were cooked for about 6 minutes on each side.
  • Once the pierogies are cooked add the kielbasa mixture back to the skillet and stir it well.
  • Cook for 5 more minutes, and then top with the cheese, turn off the heat and let it sit for a minute or two to melt the cheese.

Yumm, kielbasa, cabbage, and pierogies all in one skillet. Couldn't be easier and is wonderful. You can use any kind of pierogi and I used low fat kielbasi and pierogi. You can also use mini pierogis.

2 medium onions, chopped
2 tablespoons margarine
1 head cabbage, chopped
1 lb lite kielbasa
33 ounces mrs. ts potato & cheese pierogies
1 dash pepper

Steps:

  • Chop onions and saute in butter in pan or electric fry pan. Add cabbage, cover, and cook till soft (about 10 mins). Sprinkle with pepper.
  • Slice kielbasa into 1/8 inch thick slices. Add to casserole. Cover and cook another 10 minutes or till kielbasa is cooked.
  • Meanwhile, cook pierogies either by boiling or microwave. (follow package directions) Drain.
  • Add pierogies to casserole and stir. Cook an additional 5 minutes.
