Ingredients

30 caramels
1 to 2 tablespoons water
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup finely crushed peanuts, optional
Sliced apples

Steps:

In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the caramels and water on high for 1 minute; stir. Microwave 1 minute more or until smooth. Add peanut butter and mix well; microwave for 30 seconds or until smooth. Stir peanuts if desired. Serve warm with apples.

25 caramels, unwrapped
1/4 cup milk or 1/4 cup light cream
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts, coarsely chopped
3 apples, cored, sliced

Steps:

In a microwaveable bowl, place the caramels, milk and peanut butter.
Microwave on high for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes or until the caramels are melted, stirring after every minute.
Serve warm as a dip along with apple slices and chopped peanuts.
