Spiced Nuts Chex Party Mix Recipes

SPICY CHEX MIX RECIPE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 250ºF. In large bowl, add the corn, rice, and wheat chex cereals, mixed nuts, mini pretzels and bagel chips. Set aside.
• Place the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until the butter completely melts. Add the Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, chili powder, paprika and cayenne. Whisk together until combined. Pour the butter over the cereal mixture,
• Pour the butter sauce over the cereal mixture and toss together until everything is evenly coated.
• Spread the chex mix onto a large rimmed baking sheet and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to make sure everything crisps up evenly. Let cool slightly before eating.

SPICED NUTS AND CHEX® MIX

Steps:

• In small bowl, mix sugar, chili powder and red pepper.
• In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in cereal and nuts until evenly coated. Stir in sugar mixture until evenly coated.
• Microwave uncovered on High 4 to 5 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes, until mixture just begins to brown. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container.

SPICED NUTS CHEX™ PARTY MIX

Steps:

• In large bowl, mix cereals and almonds. Line cookie sheet with waxed paper or foil.
• In 2-cup measure, beat egg white with fork. Mix sugar, salt and spices together in small bowl. Pour egg white over cereal; sprinkle with sugar-spice mixture.
• Microwave on High 3 to 4 minutes, stirring after every minute until cereal and nuts are browned and sound crisp when stirred with spoon. Pour onto waxed paper to cool. Store tightly covered.

INDIAN SPICED CHEX® MIX

Steps:

• In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, cashews, pistachios, and almonds. In small microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 30 seconds or until melted. Stir in corn syrup and honey; microwave on High about 10 more seconds. Add salt, cardamom, ginger, and cayenne; stir well. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
• Microwave mixture uncovered on High 3 minutes, stirring after each minute. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool. Store in airtight container.

SPICED NUTS 'N CHEX® MIX (1/2 RECIPE)

Steps:

• In small bowl, mix sugar, chili powder and red pepper.
• In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 30 seconds or until melted. Stir in cereal and nuts until evenly coated. Stir in sugar mixture until evenly coated.
• Microwave uncovered on High 3 to 4 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes, until mixture just begins to brown. Spread on waxed paper; cool about 15 minutes. Store in airtight container.

BROWN SUGAR SPICE CHEX™ PARTY MIX

Steps:

• In large microwavable bowl, measure cereal and nuts; set aside.
• In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter on High 30 seconds; stir and microwave 30 seconds longer or until butter is melted; stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, and spices. Heat until boiling, about 30 seconds. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated.
• Microwave uncovered on High about 3 minutes, stirring every minute, until mixture is glazed. Cool 5 minutes, stir in cranberries. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container.

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 325°F.
• Whisk together egg whites, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, paprika, and cayenne in a large bowl. Add popcorn, pretzels, nuts, and salt to taste and toss until thoroughly coated.
• Spread evenly in 2 buttered large shallow baking pans (1 inch deep) and bake in upper and lower thirds of oven, switching position of pans halfway through baking, until coating is crisp, about 20 minutes total.
• Spread mixture on 2 large sheets of parchment paper or oiled foil and cool completely.

• In ungreased large roasting pan, melt butter in oven. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt and pepper sauce. Gradually stir in remaining ingredients until evenly coated.
• Bake uncovered 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool, about 15 minutes. Store in airtight container.
