PRETZEL SPIDERS - HEALTHY HALLOWEEN TREATS FOR KIDS
These pretzel spiders are a healthy snack for kids, perfect for Halloween. They're made from date peanut butter oat energy bars and pretzels. They are simple and really quick to make. Your kids will love them!

Steps:
- If you're using regular, dry dates, pour boiling water over them then let stand for 10 minutes. Drain and squeeze out excess water.
- Remove the pits from the dates and add all the ingredients into a food processor fitted with a steel blade.
- Pulse all the ingredients and mixed and they resemble a coarse 'crumble'. The mixture doesn't have to be completely smooth.
- Scoop some dough and roll into small balls.
- Cut the pretzels in half and attach as the 'legs'.
- Insert the pine nuts ('eyes') into the balls.
- Enjoy!

- Preheat oven to 200 degrees F (95 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, mix together vegetable oil, dry ranch dressing mix, garlic salt and cayenne pepper.
- Place pretzels in a medium baking dish. Coat with the vegetable oil mixture.
- Stirring occasionally, bake coated pretzels uncovered in the preheated oven 2 hours, or until toasted and crispy.

- In a small bowl, mix together cayenne pepper, lemon pepper, garlic salt, ranch-style dressing mix and vegetable oil.

SPIDER WEB PRETZELS
Salty pretzels and sweet melting chocolate make this dessert a cinch to make and they taste great too!

Steps:
- break the pretzel sticks in half. Place them in a snowflake pattern on a wax paper-lined cookie sheet. Set aside.
- Put the melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds each until the wafers are melted.
- Take the melted wafers and pour them into a ziplock bag. Snip the tip off and swirl the chocolate around the pretzels creating a spiral effect.
- Put a blog in the center to hold everything together and then dot the ends of the pretzels as well.
- Add on fun Halloween sprinkles.
- Place the tray in the freezer for 10 minutes to allow everything to be set up.
- Enjoy!

PRETZEL SPIDER WEBS

- Line two sheet pans with parchment paper.
- In sets of 8, arrange the pretzel sticks into the spokes of 10 webs, with the centers touching and the outer edges spaced.
- Melt the melting wafers according to the package instructions, approximately 2 minutes in a microwave or 3 to 5 minutes over a double boiler. Transfer to a piping bag and cut the tip to create a small hole.
- Pipe a small amount of the melted candy onto the center of each web where the pretzels meet; this will hold the webs together. Then pipe a web pattern by starting in the center and spiraling out to the edges. Go around the outer edges a couple times to create a firm border. Carefully spoon over the sprinkles. Repeat with the remaining webs.
- Place chocolate spiders in the center, if using. Let set 1 hour.
