SPIKED LEMONY ICED TEA

2 large lemons
4 tablespoons sugar
2 cups hot water
1 cup warm brewed black tea
3 ounces whiskey, such as Johnnie Walker Black Label

Steps:

Cut a few thin rounds of lemon and reserve for garnish. Zest 2 tablespoons of zest from the remaining lemons, then juice the lemons (you'll need 4 tablespoons of juice; reserve any additional juice for another use).
Make the ice cubes: Stir the lemon zest, 2 tablespoons of the lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of the sugar and the hot water in a heatproof liquid measuring cup. Pour the liquid into a standard ice cube tray and freeze.
Make the cocktail: In a mixer, shake together the tea, whiskey, 2 tablespoons lemon juice and remaining 2 tablespoons sugar. Shake and set aside for the sugar to melt.
Serve: Arrange a few ice cubes in 2 glasses. Add a couple of ice cubes to the mixer and shake. Pour half of the cocktail mix into each. If you like, run the edge of the glasses with the lemon slices. Garnish the glass with the slices.

Steep the tea bag for 2 minutes in the water. Remove the bag and allow the tea to cool. Pour the tea into an ice cube tray and freeze until solid, at least 2 hours.
Put the strawberries, milk, lime juice, honey and mint into a blender and blend until almost smooth. Add the green tea ice cubes and continue to blend until very smooth. Garnish with the sliced strawberry

14 sprigs fresh mint
6 bags green tea
One 6-inch piece ginger, thinly sliced
1/4 cup honey
Juice of 1 lime
6 ounces unfiltered sake
4 thin slices lime, for garnish

Steps:

Bring 4 cups water to a boil a medium saucepan; boil for 1 minute. Add 10 of the mint sprigs, the tea bags and the ginger; stir. Turn off the heat and let steep for 20 to 25 minutes. Discard the mint, tea bags and ginger. Stir in the honey until dissolved.
Add 4 cups crushed ice to a pitcher. Pour in the green tea and the lime juice; stir to melt the ice. Add the sake and stir to combine.
Pour the green tea mixture into 4 glasses filled with ice. Garnish with the lime slices and the remaining mint sprigs.

Set aside five strawberries. Place the remaining strawberries in blender; cover and puree. Strain into pitcher. Stir in the tea, sugar and lemon juice until sugar is dissolved. Chill. , Serve in chilled glasses over ice. Garnish with reserved berries.
