CHICKEN IN SPRITE RECIPE
This Chicken Sprite Recipe will still taste good the day after you cook it. It's a hardy dish which you can enjoy with your family. You could also be sure that kids will love it. Don't feel intimidated by Sprite in the recipe. The addition of Sprite makes the taste sweet and different in a way.

Steps:
- Put / Insert the Lemongrass (Tanglad) into the stomach of the chicken and rub the chicken with salt and calamansi or lemon juice.
- Put the chicken in the deep pot and add the remaining ingredients like onion etc.
- Cover and cook for 45 minutes over medium fire or until the Chicken becomes tender.
- After 25 minutes of cooking turn the chicken upside down so the color would be even.
- Serve with the sauce of the chicken.

SPRITE BBQ CHICKEN
A good friend gave me this recipe when we lived in Memphis, TN. It's easy but really gives BBQ sauce a unique flavor.

Steps:
- Mix the BBQ sauce and sprite together (only use half a can of sprite if you like a real thick sauce).
- Pour the sauce over the chicken/veggies in the pan.
- Cover with a lid.
- Simmer the chicken breasts, mushrooms, and onion in the sauce for 20-30 minutes or until done.
- Serve over or with rice; basmati rice is excellent with this dish.

Steps:
- Combine cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, salt and pepper together.
- Rub the chicken with honey and then sprinkle with the spice mixture, being sure that the chicken is well-coated.
- Place chicken into a covered container, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
- Place chicken thighs on a baking tray.
- Bake for about 45-55 minutes, ensuring the chicken is completely cooked.

- Mix all ingredients together in a Ziploc bag. Add 6 chicken breasts and marinate for at least 30 minutes (although the longer you go, the better they taste!
- I usually marinate my chicken for at least 8 hours or overnight).
