STRAWBERRY BANANA CREPE CAKE RECIPE BY TASTY
Here's what you need: large eggs, milk, oil, vanilla, ripe bananas, sugar, salt, flour, unsalted butter, strawberries, heavy cream, powdered sugar

Steps:
- In a food processor or blender, add the eggs, milk, oil, vanilla, bananas, sugar, salt, and flour. Blend until the batter is smooth without clumps.
- In a medium nonstick skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and swirl so it coats the entire pan. Then pour in ¼ cup of crepe batter and tilt the pan to cover the entire bottom. Cook until the bottom surface of the crepe begins to brown and the edges are lacey, for about 3 minutes, and then flip. Repeat with the remaining crepe batter.
- In a food processor or blender, add the strawberries and puree until smooth. Pour the strawberry puree through a sieve into a medium bowl to remove any seeds and clumps. Chill for 15 minutes until the puree is cold.
- In a large bowl, using a whisk or hand mixer, beat the cream until thickened. Add the powdered sugar, and beat until soft peaks form. Add half of the strawberry puree, and blend with the hand mixer. Add the rest of the strawberry puree and gently fold it into the whipped cream with a spatula.
- Dollop a bit of strawberry cream on a plate, then place the first crepe and frost with about ¼ cup of filling. Stack the remaining crepes on top of each other, with strawberry whipped cream between each layer. Spread the rest of the strawberry whipped cream on top of the last crepe.
- Arrange slices of strawberry on top for garnish.
- Slice and serve.
- Enjoy!

Whipped cream, strawberries and angel food cake doesn't get any better than this. A family favorite, my grandmother made it for big family gatherings. Around our house was always Dad's birthday cake. Surprisingly light, its great for breakfast the next day, if there's any left!

Steps:
- Slice the angel food cake horizontally into 3 layers using a long serrated knife.
- Whip cream with cornstarch in a large bowl until stiff, but not grainy. In a separate bowl, crush about 1/2 cup of the strawberries. Stir in sugar and sour cream. Mix in red food coloring if desired. Gently fold the strawberry mixture into the whipped cream. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Set aside 6 or 8 nice-looking whole strawberries to use for garnish. Remove stems from remaining berries, and slice.
- Place the bottom slice of angel food cake onto a serving plate. Top with a layer of sliced strawberries and bananas. Spread a layer of the whipped cream over the fruit. Top with the center layer of the cake, and repeat the fruit and cream layers. Place the top layer of the cake on top.
- Frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining whipped cream mixture. Arrange whole strawberries on top for garnish. Refrigerate before serving.

- Place egg whites in a large mixing bowl; let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
- Beat yolks in bowl until slightly thickened. Gradually add 3/4 cup white sugar, beating until thick and lemon-colored. Beat in lemon juice, vegetable oil, and water.
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl; add to yolk mixture and stir to incorporate into batter.
- Beat egg whites using an electric mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form. Gradually add remaining 3/4 cup white sugar, 1 tablespoon at at time, beating on high speed until stiff, glossy peaks form. Fold 1/4 of the egg whites into batter, then fold in remaining whites. Gently spoon batter into an ungreased 10-inch tube pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven until cake springs back when lightly touched, 35 to 40 minutes. Immediately invert pan onto a plate; let cool completely, about 30 minutes.
- Beat heavy cream in a large mixing bowl until it begins to thicken. Add confectioners' sugar and vanilla extract; beat whipped cream until stiff peaks form.
- Run a knife around the sides and center tube of the pan; remove cake and slice into 3 horizontal layers. Place bottom layer on a serving plate, top with about 1/4 of the whipped cream and 1/2 of the sliced strawberries; repeat with middle layer. Place top layer on cake, spread remaining whipped cream over top and sides of cake. Arrange halved strawberries on top of cake.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- For the cake Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs until light and fluffy, then add all flavorings.
- Add sugar gradually, and continue by adding flour mixture alternately with cream, beating after each addition until just.
- smooth.
- Pour batter into two 9" greased round cake pans and bake in your preheated oven for approximately 40 minutes or until done.
- While cake is cooking, make your syrup.
- Do so by combining sugar and water in a heavy small saucepan.
- Bring mixture to a boil over moderate heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Stir in creme de banana.
- Once cake has finished baking, remove from oven and cool on racks.
- After they have cooled, brush cakes with syrup.
- For the filling, whip cream in large chilled bowl on low speed until soft peaks form.
- Add Grand Marnier and sugar and beat on high speed until it becomes smooth and spreadable.
- Fold in mashed strawberries.
- Spread the filling between the cake layers and add sliced banana on top of bottom layer.
- Spread remaining mixture on top and sides of cake.
