Whip up a crowd-friendly batch cocktail for summer with this recipe, which calls for just four ingredients-fresh limes, sugar, fresh strawberry, and white rum.

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 ounces (1/4 cup) freshly squeezed lime juice, plus 1 tablespoon lime zest, from 2 limes
1/4 cup granulated sugar, plus up to 2 additional tablespoons
4 cups (16 ounces) fresh strawberries, hulled
5 ounces (2/3 cup) white rum
2 cups small ice cubes

Steps:

  • Combine lime zest and 2 tablespoons sugar in a food processor. Pulse until combined. Set aside.
  • Place lime juice, strawberries, rum, 2 to 4 tablespoons sugar, depending on the sweetness of your strawberries, and ice cubes in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  • Rub the rims of four glasses with a lime wedge, dip rims in lime sugar, and fill glasses with daiquiri.

You can make a strawberry daiquiri with either fresh fruit or frozen. This recipe is for frozen strawberries since you can get quality ones all year round. You can make with fresh strawberries if you have them. Hull & slice the strawberries. Add an extra 1/2 - 1 cup of ice (1 1/2 - 2 cups total), depending on the warmth of your other ingredients.This recipe is written for 2-3 cocktails (depending on how full you want to fill the glasses). It feels like a waste to pull out the blender for just one cocktail.

1/2 cup white Rum ()
1/3 cup fresh Lime Juice (, or to taste (usually about 3 limes worth))
1/4-1/2 cup Sugar (, or @ 1/2 cup (120ml) simple syrup, depending on your sweetness preference)
2 cups frozen Strawberries (*see head note for fresh strawberries)
1 cup ice (, approximately)

Steps:

  • In a blender, combine the rum, lime juice and sugar. Blend until sugar is dissolved.
  • Add the strawberries & ice & blend until everything is smooth. Divide between the 2 glasses, add a garnish & straw and enjoy!.
