Strawberry Mango Frozen Daiquiri image

This is so fresh-tasting and refreshing! My friend Sarah Gates and I invented this cocktail one warm evening.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 1/2 cups ice, crushed
1 pint strawberry, sliced and frozen
1 ripe mango, peeled and sliced
6 ounces light rum
1 tablespoon sugar (approximate, adjust to your liking)
1 lime, juice and zest of

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients in a heavy-duty blender. Blend until the mixture is the consistency of a smoothie.
  • Serve in a frosty glass with a lime slice.

  • 1. Let sorbet and frozen yogurt soften about 20 minutes. Reserve 1/4 cup frozen-daiquiri mixer. Swirl the remaining mixer with frozen yogurt creating a marbling effect. Mash strawberries and combine with reserved 1/4 cup frozen-daiquiri mixer.
  • 2. In 5 ounce paper cup, layer 1/3 mango sorbet, 1/3 strawberry mixture and 1/3 frozen yogurt mixture. Insert popsicle stick. Freeze for 2 to 4 hours until firm.
