1 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2-3/4 tsp kosher salt
pepper to taste
1 C favorite prepared BBQ sauce

Steps:

  • 1.Remove skin from chicken breast halves and place in a large ziplock bag. 2.Combine olive oil, smoked paprika, lemon juice, and garlic in a small bowl and pour over chicken. 3.Let chicken marinade for at least an hour, up to 24 in the fridge. 4.Preheat oven to 350 degrees 5.Remove chicken from bag and place on a baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper. 6.Bake for 20 minutes and brush a layer of BBQ sauce on the chicken. Return to the oven and repeat brushing with BBQ sauce every 5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through, about 15 to 20 minutes longer. Chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F when read with a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the breast.

4 chicken breasts
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2-3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper (pepper to taste)
1 cup favorite prepared barbecue sauce

Steps:

  • Remove skin from chicken breast halves (I use skinless chicken breasts) and place in a large ziplock bag.
  • Combine olive oil, smoked paprika, lemon juice, and garlic in a small bowl and pour over chicken.
  • Let chicken marinade for at least an hour, up to 24 in the fridge.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Remove chicken from bag and place on a baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Bake for 20 minutes and brush a layer of BBQ sauce on the chicken. These sticky, sweet BBQ chicken thighs in the oven are easy to make, especially when it's too cold outside to fire up the grill.

1 ½ cups brown sugar
½ cup barbeque sauce
½ cup ketchup
½ cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce
8 (5 ounce) boneless, skinless chicken thighs

Steps:

  • Whisk together brown sugar, barbecue sauce, ketchup, honey, and soy sauce in a large glass or ceramic bowl. Set aside 1/2 cup of the mixture and refrigerate for basting. Add chicken thighs to the remaining marinade and toss to evenly coat. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for 2 to 6 hours.
  • When ready to cook, preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Remove chicken from the marinade and shake off excess. Discard the remaining marinade. Place chicken in a glass baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven, basting occasionally with the reserved 1/2 cup marinade, until chicken is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, 30 to 40 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
