3/4 cup chicken broth, or use vegetable broth or water for vegan.
1/2 tablespoon tomato paste
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1½ teaspoons sriracha sauce
3 tablespoons rice vinegar
1½ tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch (mixed with 2 tablespoons water)
3/4 cup chicken broth
1/2 tablespoon tomato paste
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1½ teaspoons sriracha sauce
3 tablespoons rice vinegar
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch (mixed with 2 tablespoons water)
3/4 cup chicken broth
1/2 tablespoon tomato paste
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
3 teaspoons sriracha sauce
3 tablespoons rice vinegar
3 Chinese dried chilies (finely chopped)
1½ tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch (mixed with 2 tablespoons water)

Steps:

  • Put all the ingredients for the sauce - EXCEPT for cornstarch and water mixture - in a medium size pot and bring to a gentle boil.
  • Give the cornstarch and water a quick stir and slowly add to the simmering sauce while stirring.
  • Cook for a minute until sauce thickens and turn the heat off. Coat whatever protein you're using and serve.

1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 teaspoons minced ginger
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup water
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon butter
4 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar

Steps:

  • Add the Oil to the WOK.
  • Add Garlic, Ginger, Crushed Red Peppers,
  • Stir Fry Two Minutes.
  • Add the Flour and cook to make a roux.
  • Add the Butter and melt over Medium heat,
  • Add the Soy Sauce.
  • Add Water and wisk until smooth.
  • Add Sugar and stir until sugar is desolved.
  • Add Sesame Oil and stir to blend.
  • Let cook until boils and thickens, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat and serve over General Tso's Chicken.
