TANGY PORK CHOPS

Steps:
- Place chops in a 3-qt. slow cooker; sprinkle with pepper. Add the onions, celery, green pepper and tomatoes. Combine the ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and bouillon; pour over vegetables. Cover and cook on low 5-6 hours or until meat is tender. , Mix cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into liquid in slow cooker. Cover and cook on high about 30 minutes or until thickened. If desired, serve with rice or mashed potatoes.

SLOW COOKER TANGY PORK CHOPS

Steps:
- In a small saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients and bring to a low boil. Whisk or stir until the sugar is well dissolved and the sauce is formed. Once done, turn off heat and set aside.
- Spray a slow cooker with non stick spray, place the pork chops on the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Pour the sauce evenly over the pork chops and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- I typically will turn these 1/2 way through the cook time and then check at 6 hours to see if they have are done.
- If you use thin cut pork chops, they should be done by 6 hours, thick cut will take closer to 8 hours.
- Serve with sauce drizzled over the chops.

TANGY SLOW COOKER PORK ROAST
This recipe is a favorite with my husband. I usually serve it with buttered egg noodles and sugar snap peas.

Steps:
- Arrange onion slices evenly over the bottom of the slow cooker, and then place the roast on top of the onion. In a bowl, mix together water, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and hot sauce; pour over roast.
- Cover, and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours, or on High for 3 to 4 hours.

CROCK POT CHOPS
These sweet and tangy pork chops smell great as they cook all day and are a wonderful meal to come home to. Other cuts of pork would work in this recipe as well. Try some economical pork steak or a roast. I have even done this with strips and cubes and served over white rice. If you are salt sensitive you can use low sodium soy sauce. I use chenin blanc for the wine or a good chardonnay. Reisling might be a great sweeter wine to try here! A salad or veggie rounds out this meal really well.

Steps:
- Spray crock pot with cooking spray and place all ingredients inside.
- REVISED: Some reviews stated that the meat was dry and cooked too long so I am revising the cooking time to low for 6 hours or until chops are tender. My crock is old and probably cooks slower- sorry!
- Remove chops and thicken liquid in pot with a slurry of 1 TABLEspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 TABLEspoon water.
- Return chops to pot and cook until liquid has thickened.
