Garlic Toast Pizzas image

Between working full-time, going to school and raising three children, finding time-saving recipes that my family likes is one of my biggest challenges. These quick pizzas pack a huge amount of flavor. -Amy Grim, Chillicothe, Ohio

1 package (11-1/4 ounces) frozen garlic Texas toast
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 package (3-1/2 ounces) sliced regular or turkey pepperoni
2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°. Place Texas toast in a 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake 5 minutes., Spread toast with pizza sauce; top with pepperoni and cheese. Bake until cheese is melted, 4-5 minutes longer.

Just another way to enjoy my fave bread, Texas Toast. I love pepperoni, but I think you can use any topping that you like.

6 slices Texas toast thick bread, garlic
13 ounces hunt's meat-flavored spaghetti sauce
1 (8 ounce) package of kraft shredded mozzarella cheese
24 slices of hormel pepperoni
basil
oregano

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 420 degrees fahrenheit.
  • Place bread on non-stick cookie sheet.
  • Cook for five minutes (each side 2-1/2 minutes).
  • Remove from oven.
  • Spread sauce over toast.
  • Add the cheese and the pepperoni.
  • Turn up oven to "broil".
  • Place toast into oven for NO MORE THAN TWO MINUTES. Check constantly.
  • Remove from oven.
  • Add basil and oregano to taste.

4 mushroom caps, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons sliced salad olives with pimento, drained
1 small onion, chopped
1 handful cilantro, chopped
1/2 small red bell pepper, seeded and diced
1 jalapeno, chopped
2 tubes refrigerated pizza dough (found on dairy aisle)
1 1/2 cups prepared salsa, any variety (I like smoky chipotle salsa)
8 ounces smoked cheddar, shredded
1/2 pound chorizo, casing removed and sausage thinly sliced
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack (found on dairy aisle)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Combine first 6 ingredients in a bowl and mix.
  • Press out 2 pizza shells on 2 cookie sheets. Spread 3/4 cup salsa on each pie and top with each pie with half of the shredded smoked cheese. Top each pie with half the vegetable blend and half of the sliced chorizo. Top with the shredded Monterey Jack and bake the pizzas for 15 minutes, until cheese is golden and toppings tender. Cut pizzas into squares and serve.

1 1/2 Cups Pizza Sauce
2 Cups Mozzarella Cheese
1/4 Cup Pepperonis

Steps:

  • Preheat Oven to temperature directed on Garlic Toast Box.
  • Place 8 slices on baking sheet and top each with pizza sauce.
  • Sprinkle about 1/4 cup cheese onto each slice of toast.
  • Top with your favorite pizza ingredients. We love pepperoni and ham and pineapple pizzas.
  • Bake according to time directed on the box. (about 6-8 minutes)

pizza sauce (I used tomato pasta from a jar)
1/2 crimini brown button mushroom
1 small orange bell pepper (or any color you like)
540 ml canned pineapple tidbits
soy chicken about the size of a chicken breast
grated cheddar cheese (to cover pizza)

Steps:

  • Turn oven to 300
  • put pizza crust on pan.
  • spread tomato sauce liberally on crust.
  • chop up mushrooms, peppers.
  • arrange on pizza.
  • put pineapple on pizza.
  • spread cheese over pizza.
  • put soy "chicken" on top.
  • cook for 15 - 25 minutes depending on the thickness of the pizza with toppings
  • take out when pizza is slightly browned and cooked though.
