The summer breeze is an easy and refreshing mixed drink recipe that pairs premium bourbon with fresh orange, orange liqueur, and ginger ale.

1 orange slice
1 splash orange liqueur
2 ounces bourbon whiskey
2 ounces ginger ale

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • In an old-fashioned glass , add the orange slice and a splash of orange liqueur. Muddle well .
  • Add equal parts of bourbon and ginger ale.
  • Stir gently .
  • Fill the glass with ice, serve and enjoy.

2 ounces coconut rum (Captain Morgan Parrot Bay)
2 ounces white rum
6 ice cubes

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients to a shaker.
  • Shake for 10-12 seconds.
  • Pour/strain into a chilled glass and enjoy!

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 1/2 ounces Bacardi Limon
1 ounce pink grapefruit juice
1 ounce orange juice
Dash of grenadine
1 Maraschino cherry, for garnish

Steps:

  • Shake all the ingredients (except the cherry) together in a shaker filled with ice. Strain into a martini glass, drop in the cherry, and enjoy!
  • Summer Breeze sans spirit
  • For those of you out there who don't imbibe, here's a nice variation on the Summer Breeze that won't leave you three sheets to the wind.
  • 3 ounces pink grapefruit juice
  • 5 ounces lemon-lime soda
  • 1 orange wheel, for garnish
  • 1 Maraschino cherry, for garnish
  • Pour the grapefruit juice into a tumbler or highball glass filled with ice cubes and top it off with lemon-lime soda. With a wooden skewer, pierce the orange wheel through both sides of the rind and add the cherry. Add to the drink and serve.
