Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease cookie sheets.
- Combine white and brown sugar, butter and eggs. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. The dough will be stiff.
- Stir in nuts, chocolate chips, rum and whiskey. Drop dough by tablespoonful onto cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.

- In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add the butter, zucchini, mushrooms and onions; cook and stir until vegetables are tender. Drain. Stir in the chili powder, salt and garlic powder. Add the rice, chilies, sour cream and half of the cheese. , Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish; sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20-22 minutes or until cheese is melted.

TWISTY BOLOGNESE PASTA BAKE
A delicious meal for kids! Yummy for any time of the year! You can also add grated/pureed vegetables, ie. carrot and zucchini, to this dish to increase the nutritional value. I use Leggo's Pasta Bake Creamy Tomato & Mozzarella which is 97% fat free. I serve up 250gm per serve for kids.

Steps:
- Cook the spiral pasta until tender.
- Cook lean beef mince in a frying pan until browned and spoon onto pasta.
- Empty jar of Pasta Bake (I use Leggo's) over mince and mix all together.
- Sprinkle with cheeses and back in a preheated oven on 190 degrees C for 20 minutes.
- Variation: add grated carrot and zucchini, or baby spinach and pine nuts.

GROUND BEEF AND PASTA CASSEROLE WITH A TWIST
This is a my own combination of recipe #35752 and #10107. Nice cinnamon taste and a definite change from your usual ground beed and pasta dish.

Steps:
- In a skillet cook beef, onion, garlic until beef no longer pink.
- stir in the tomatoe sauce and seasoning.
- Simmer for 15 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, cook the pasta in salted water. Drain.
- For the sauce:.
- In a saucepan, melt butter, stir in flour and cinnamon until smooth.
- Gradually add milk and stir until thickened, add seasoning.
- To assemble:.
- Mix together the cooked pasta, the egg, the sauce and the parmesan cheese.
- Spread half of the pasta mixture at the bottom of a baking dish.
- Top with beef mixture.
- Cover with the remaining pasta mixture.
- (Alernatively you can spread the whole pasta mixture at the bottom and top with beef mixture).
- Sprinkle with extra parmesan cheese.
- Bake in a 350 oven for 35-45 minutes, or until golden brown.

BEEF AND PASTA BAKE - THE BEST!
I have tried so many pasta bakes but this one from the Australian Women's Weekly is still the best IMHO! Easy and very delicious, reheats great and everyone loves it - what more could you want! I've tried to translate the recipe into American as much as possible; hope you enjoy it as much as my family does.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 180 (350F).
- Heat oil in large pan; cook onion, garlic, bacon and carrot, stirring, til carrot is just tender - about 8 minutes *.
- Add mince and cook, stirring, til mince changes colour; then add undiluted soup, tomato paste, sauce and oregano and simmer, covered, about 15 mins or til mixture has thickened slightly.
- While beef mixture is simmering, cook pasta and drain. Stir pasta into beef mixture, then spoon into an oiled deep 8 cup capacity ovenproof dish and sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, for 15 mins or until browned slightly.
- *If you want to, you can add a stick of chopped celery along with the onion etc or add some mushrooms just before the mince.

I have had this recipe forever and do not recall where I got it! It is a nice alternative to your everyday ground beef and pasta dish.

- Preheat oven to 375'. In large skillet, brown ground beef; drain. Stir in hot macaroni, 1/2 can of french fried onions, 1/2 cup cheese, soup, tomatoes, red pepper and seasoned salt. Mix well. Pour into 2-quart casserole dish. Bake covered, at 375' for 30 minutes or until heated through. Top with remaining cheese and onions. Bake, uncovered for 3 minutes or until onions are golden brown and cheese is melted.
