Vietnamese Avocado Shake (Sinh to bo) image

A rich and creamy drink, best suited for dessert. Small portions are recommended.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 cup ice cubes
1 ripe Hass avocado (skin removed)
1/2 cup milk (plus extra to thin if needed)
1/2 cup condensed milk (or to taste)

Steps:

  • Add the ice cubes, avocado, milk and some of the condensed milk to the blender.
  • Cover and blend on high until the mixture is smooth.
  • Check the consistency. If it's too thick, add more milk to achieve desired consistency.
  • Cover and blend on high again. Check for sweetness and add more condensed milk, if desired.
  • Stir before pouring into small glasses or dessert dishes.
  • Enjoy cold or room temperature. Store covered in the fridge for up to 12 hours (discoloration may occur).

This Vietnamese avocado milkshake (aka sinh to bo) is a simple, sweet avocado shake with avocado, condensed milk, milk, and ice - for a creamy, refreshing drink! Best of all, this avocado milk requires just 3 ingredients and can be made dairy-free!

1 avocado
1/2 cup milk (any milk will work - I like coconut milk)
1 Tbsp condensed milk (dairy or non-dairy. Substitute with sugar or syrup - date syrup, honey, coconut sugar, etc.)
1/4 cup ice cubes (optional )

Steps:

  • There are two methods that you can use to make this avocado milk drink.First, slice open the avocado lengthways and tap a sharp knife into the pit, twisting it to remove (don't try to scoop it out from the side as it can lead to kitchen disasters and a trip to the ER!).

1 small/medium ripe avocado (or 1/2 a large one)
4-6 ice cubes (~1 cup)
250 mL (1 cup) soy milk
2 tbsp sweetened condensed coconut milk (you can also switch to a liquid sweetener instead, it just won't be as creamy)

Steps:

  • In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth.
  • Transfer to a glass, pop in a straw and enjoy!

This super easy avocado smoothie recipe will give you an almost sinful dessert with the richness of and extra texture formed by frozen Haas avocado slices.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 medium Haas avocado (sliced and frozen)
½ c ice
⅓ c milk ((add more if you want to thin smoothie))
¼ c condensed milk ((add more if you want a sweeter smoothie))

Steps:

  • To make the frozen avocado slices, cut ripe avocados in medium sized slices. Line a sheet pan with wax paper and place the avocado slices individually on the pan. Place this sheet in the freezer for one hour. When they have frozen, you can use them for the smoothie or put them in a freezer safe container.
  • To make the smoothie, add all the ingredients into a strong blender. Consistency should be super thick with small chunks of the frozen avocados.
  • This ratio is not too sweet, but you can adjust the amount of condensed milk for a sweeter taste. To make this a smoother consistency, you can add more milk too.
  • Pour the smoothie into a glass and eat with a straw or spoon (it's that thick!).
