1 large egg, separated
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup canola oil
1/4 cup orange juice
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 to 1-1/2 teaspoons grated orange zest
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, beat the egg white until stiff peaks form; set aside. In another small bowl, beat egg yolk, milk, oil and orange juice. Combine flour, sugar, orange zest, baking powder and salt; stir into milk mixture. Fold in egg white. , Bake in a preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions until golden brown.

Steps:

  • Preheat the Griddler, fitted with the waffle plates, to 375°F (190°C), and grease with nonstick spray.
  • Whisk the eggs in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  • Add the Greek yogurt and whisk again until smooth.
  • Whisk in the milk, oil, and maple syrup.
  • Add the flour, baking powder, and baking soda, and whisk together until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  • Use a 1-cup (130 G) measuring cup to pour batter onto the Griddler.
