- Easy Game Day Appetizer. Pimiento cheese is a go-to favorite in my house. It dresses up everything from celery to burgers, so finding a way to make it that gives it a creamier twist without adding more and more mayo is a must.
- Happy Hour. While red pizzas are my favorite comfort food, white pizzas, like the one pictured above with olive oil and pesto, feel a little more sophisticated and are extra fun to share with friends.
- The Best Dessert, Ever. Can't find the ricotta in this recipe? That's because you're making it. If you aren't up for that kitchen adventure, swap in the ricotta you have on hand and proceed as directed.
- This Sensible Shake. Bottoms up on the best shake you've ever had. It's basically a cannoli but without the wrapper nonsense. I know the point here is to avoid food waste, but more importantly, this thing is straight-up filling delicious.
- Brunch is the new Black. Ricotta makes these scones 1000% times better than any dry biscuit you've ever tasted. The same mixture that adds smooth texture also replacing the traditional clotted cream, saves you time on your topping.
- Super Easy Breakfast. If all else fails, you can literally drop that leftover ricotta on a frozen waffle with your favorite jam and dig in. I call it the "I have no excuses left" meal.

- Olive Tapenade. Have company coming over for a night of Heads Up and drinks? Wow them with a delicious tapenade that only looks complicated to make. To make it, combine 1 cup of pasta sauce with a 1/2 cup of chopped Kalamata olives, 1/2 cup of chopped roasted peppers, and a tablespoon of capers.
- Stuffed Zucchini Boats. If you've been looking for a no-fuss, healthy side dish to accompany all of your go-to Italian-inspired entrees, this is it. To make the dish, start by preheating the oven to 350°F and slicing four zucchinis in half, lengthwise.
- Eggplant Parmesan for One. As tempting as it may be to simply zap a frozen meal on the nights when you're eating dinner alone, you're better off eating something that's fresh.
- Tomato Vinaigrette. Whether you're serving up a steak and spinach salad or one made solely from beans, you'll love how your produce tastes smothered in a savory and bold tomato vinaigrette.
- English Muffin Pizza. The only thing better than pizza night? One that helps you use up your leftover sauce. All you need to make these cute mini veggie pizzas is Ezekiel English muffins, leftover jarred tomato sauce, chopped veggies, and mozzarella cheese.
- Meatloaf. While there are a million versions of meatloaf, you can make our simple go-to as long as you have 1/2 cup of pasta sauce hiding out in your fridge.
- Mussels Marinara. This protein-rich Italian recipe will warm you from the inside out. Start by sauteing some minced garlic in olive oil in a deep skillet.
- Simple Ratatouille. If the only ratatouille you're familiar with is the movie about the rat who longs to be a great chef, you're totally missing out. Packed with veggies and flavor to boot, there's nothing not to love about this classic, marinara-smothered dish.
- Buffalo Chicken Wings. Shake things up this game day—and use up your leftover pasta sauce—with a new Buffalo wing recipe. In a medium or large bowl, combine equal parts marinara and hot sauce and then coat the chicken wings in the mixture.
- Eggs in Purgatory. Along with some mouthwatering spicy, creamy, and salty flavors, you'll find protein, good carbs, a bit of healthy fat in this dish, too.

- Use it in a vegetable casserole. Chef Viviani loves making a pasta dish like a truffle gnocchi with a creamy Alfredo sauce, which is served at Siena Tavern.
- Make a potato gratin. For white cream sauces, like Alfredo, Viviani says "to mix thinly sliced potatoes with sliced onions and the leftover Alfredo sauce.
- Use the sauce as a dip. Use leftover tomato based sauce as a dip, which can be utilized with chips or vegetables. Viviani suggests taking the sauce and adding either chili flakes or sautéed chilies to add a little heat to the dip.
- Make a soup. "To make a traditional Italian papa Pomodoro soup, utilize the Pomodoro sauce as a tomato base and include it in a saute pan on the stovetop over high heat.
- Use with polenta. Pasta sauce tastes great with fluffy grains, like polenta. "Another easy recipe is to use tomato sauce with polenta. Simply bake polenta in the oven, add a tablespoon of butter along with parmesan cheese, and top with sauce," says Gawronski.
- Use as a bread topper or pizza sauce, Leftover pasta sauce naturally works well as a topping, like for bruschetta by adding toasted bread, or as pizza by using buffalo mozzarella and adding it on top of dough, says Gawronski.
- Add it to other pasta dishes. Put that pasta sauce to use as a stuffing for more pasta, like ravioli. "Tomato sauce also can be used as a stuffing by putting it in along with mashed potato and Parmigiano cheese into ravioli," Gawronski says.
