WHISKEY HONEY PULLED PORK
Whiskey Honey Pulled Pork is slow cooked to perfection and loaded with flavors of sweet honey, tart cider, and whiskey for a delicious meal!

Steps:
- In a slow cooker, whisk together the honey, whiskey, apple cider, and beef broth. Combine the paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a small dish then rub into the pork roast.
- Place the pork roast in the slow cooker, careful not to wash off the spice rub. Cover with the apple and onion slices, cover, and cook on low for 6 hours.
- Remove roast from the slow cooker, shred with two forks, then place back in the slow cooker for an additional 1 hour to soak up the juices.
- Serve on its own, or in sandwiches or tacos with your favorite fixings.

WHISKEY BARBECUE PORK
The ingredient list may seem long for my saucy pork, but most of these items are common things you'll already have in your kitchen. Plus, once the sauce is mixed up, the slow cooker does the rest and you can focus on other things. I think the liquid smoke is what gives the barbecue its authentic taste!

- In a small bowl, mix the first 12 ingredients. Place pork roast and onion in a 5-qt. slow cooker. Add sauce mixture. Cook, covered, on low 6-8 hours or until pork is tender. , Remove roast and onion. Cool pork slightly; discard onion. Meanwhile, skim fat from sauce. If desired, transfer sauce to a small saucepan; bring to a boil and cook to thicken slightly. , Shred pork with two forks. Return pork and sauce to slow cooker; heat through. Serve on buns.

Steps:
- Place onions into the bottom of a slow cooker and place garlic on top. Top with pork roast and season with pepper and salt. Pour BBQ sauce over the top of the roast, making sure all is covered, including onions and garlic. Pour honey on top of the roast only.
- Cover and cook on High until meat is easily shredded with 2 forks, about 6 hours, or on Low for 12 hours.

A sweet and spicy sauce for pulled pork or other BBQ. (I made this as a hot condiment to add to "Mean Chef's Pulled pork in molasses Bar-B-Que Sauce). My "Oldtimers" Hockey Team loved it!

- Sample the whiskey a few times to ensure it's good. Introduce ingredients to a small sauce pan.
- Reduce by simmering over low heat stirring frequently until it gets the syrupy consistency you want. Taste as you go and add cayenne and chili-in-oil to the level of heat you want.
