Whole30 Ketchup Recipe (No Dates, Paleo Vegan) image

This Whole30 ketchup recipe is made with only a few ingredients, no dates, and requires no blending. It's perfect on everything and in so many other sauces! This Whole30 condiment is a total must, and you'll want to keep a jar of this Whole30 ketchup recipe on hand at all times. Makes about 2 cups.

1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
1 6-ounce can tomato paste
6 ounces water
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
5 tablespoons coconut aminos
¼ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
salt (to taste)
1 pinch ground allspice

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over low heat; whisk well. Simmer until slightly reduced, about 20 minutes, then salt to taste. Cool before transferring to a jar; refrigerate.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 cup chopped (pitted dates)
1 6 oz can tomato paste (organic if possible)
1 14 oz can diced tomatoes (I use fire roasted for added flavor)
2 tablespoons coconut vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup bone broth or water
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or leave out)

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients to a small sauce pan.
  • Cook on medium low for 20 minutes and then turn heat off.
  • Using an immersion blender, puree mixture until smooth.
  • Remove blender and turn back on low heat for 10 minutes.
  • Store in mason jars or similar jars in the fridge for 2-3 weeks.
