Steps:
- Pop approx. 1/4 cup popcorn. This should make about 10 cups popped popcorn. Melt 2 tbsp butter. Put half of the butter on the popcorn and mix well. Repeat with the rest of the butter. (Butter can be substituted with margarine or even a bit of oil with butter flavoring.) Salt to taste. Makes 5 servings of about 2 cups each.
- This is a great snack for people who like to watch movies. I personally like to put the popcorn into individual bags so I know that I don't eat more than the serving size.

WHAT 100 CALORIES REALLY LOOKS LIKE ... - EAT THIS NOT THAT

- McDonald's Cheeseburger. 100 calories = ⅓ McDonald's Original Cheeseburger. You'd only get through a few bites into your McDonald's cheeseburger before you hit the 100-calorie mark.
- Strawberries. 100 calories = 25 Strawberries. An entire pint from the supermarket may not even be 100 calories! Feel free to stock up and fill up on this fiber-rich fruit.
- Peanut Butter. 100 calories = 1 Tablespoon of Peanut Butter. Thanks to their high fat content, nuts are one of the most calorie-dense foods you can eat. (Hence why a single tablespoon will set you back 100 calories.)
- Potato Chips. 100 calories = 9 Lay's chips or about ⅔ bag. The most disappointing part of learning that you won't even be able to finish an entire bag of Lay's before you reach 100 calories; it's that most of those calories come from the added vegetable oils the potatoes are deep fried in.
- Cheddar Cheese. 100 calories = 0.88 oz, a little over 3 cubes or about 1/9 block Tillamook Sharp Cheddar. Although you're only eating a little over 3 cubes of cheese, that serving size will also fill you up with 9 grams of healthy fats and 6 grams of muscle-building protein.
- 2% Greek Yogurt. 100 calories = 4.6 oz 2% Greek Yogurt or ⅔ container Fage. Greek yogurt is one of our favorite weight-loss foods for a good reason. For just 100 calories, you'll consume a whopping 13 grams of protein, the metabolism-stoking macronutrient.
- M&M's. 100 calories = about 23 pieces M&M Candies or 42 percent of one 1.69-oz bag. If we had our pick of candies, we'd likely tell you to go with M&Ms. Why?
- Popcorn. 100 calories = 3 cups Air-Popped Popcorn. According to the Satiety Index, low-calorie, high-volume snacks like popcorn will make you feel more satisfied after snacking than if you reached for a higher-calorie, smaller snack, such as chocolate.
- Soda. 100 calories = 8 fl oz Coca-Cola or ¾ standard 12 oz can. Sure, you get pretty close to being able to drink an entire can of soda for 100 calories, but those calories are entirely made up of sugar—the insulin-spiking nutrient that causes your body to store fat instead of burning it.
- Baby Spinach. 100 calories = 1 16-oz package of Earthbound Farm Baby Spinach. That's right. An entire 16-ounce package of baby spinach is a mere 100 calories.

- 24 Cherries: We love this sweet little fruit. Cherries are packed with antioxidants that help reduce your chance of heart attack, and also naturally help cut down belly fat.
- One ounce of smoked salmon (about 1 slice) on 4 Wheat Thins: Eat this for a mid-morning snack if you're hungry before lunch, as smoked salmon is full of protein to keep you feeling full throughout the day.
- Two Laughing Cow Light Garlic & Herb Wedges on cucumber slices: Laughing Cow cheese is a great snack to pack for lunch. They come in pre-sliced individual triangles so you can grab a few and go!
- A small frozen banana dipped in sugar-free chocolate syrup: This could easily be a dessert substitute or a snack for the kids when they're asking for candy (or when mom and dad are sneaking in the candy jar as well).
- A 1-ounce nonfat Greek yogurt with raspberries: Greek yogurt with berries is a sweet pick-me-up any time of the day to keep you energized. Greek yogurt has more protein than regular yogurt so you'll feel full until your next meal.
- Roasted Brussels sprouts with one ounce of prosciutto: Roasting Brussels sprouts is a tasty way to get some of your daily fiber and vitamin C. Roast them in olive oil or coconut oil to get your healthy fats.
- 3 Frozen Yogurt Cups: Got an afternoon sweet tooth? These creamy cups are the perfect high-protein sweet snack to keep you away from your usual 3'oclock calorie-laden candy bar fix.
- Two celery stalks and one tablespoon of natural peanut butter: This snack is a classic low-carb snack for a reason! Celery has virtually no calories and peanut butter is packed with healthy fats, so it's a win-win — if it is an oldie but goodie.
- One cup of frozen berries: A snack as simple as freezing berries is too good to pass up! Freezing strawberries, raspberries and blueberries makes a good substitute for cold sweet treats, and it's sometimes just a nice mix up from the regular taste of fresh fruit.
- Three low-fat cheese sticks: You can virtually take cheese sticks anywhere! They have a good amount of protein — about 7 grams per stick — which will help you feel full between meals.

- 1/2 Cup Slow-Churned Ice Cream. Surprise! Ice cream tops our list of low-calorie snacks. The key is to look for slow-churned or double-churned varieties. This refers to a process that reduces fat and calories while retaining the creamy texture of full-fat varieties, so 1/2 cup has just 100 calories.
- 6 Cups Microwave Popcorn. When you want a large snack with a small calorie count, popcorn delivers. Some microwave brands have just 100 calories in 6 cups.
- Mini Quesadilla. You may not expect cheese quesadillas to make a list of low-calorie snacks, but try this recipe: sprinkle an ounce of grated low-fat cheddar cheese over a corn tortilla.
- Cottage Cheese and Cantaloupe. Cottage cheese is a protein powerhouse, with 1/2 cup delivering 14 g. Like fiber, protein can help you stay full longer. Enjoy low-fat cottage cheese plain or with a side of fruit.
- Three Crackers With Cheese. Choosing whole-grain crackers is the key to this classic snack. The fiber will keep you feeling full between meals, and the cheese provides protein and calcium.
- Fourteen Almonds. When the munchies strike while you're on the go, there are few things more convenient than nuts. You can eat 14 almonds without hitting the 100-calorie mark.
- Six Whole-Grain Pretzel Sticks. For those who don't like nuts, pretzels are just as convenient when you're on the move. To stay under 100 calories, stick to six whole-grain pretzel sticks.
- Baked Apple. Apples are still one of the healthiest snacks around, and there are plenty of ways to put a twist on this old standby. Blake recommends enjoying baked apples – they taste like dessert but provide the same vitamins and fiber as their fresh counterparts.
- Cheese-Stuffed Pita Pocket. Here's one that's easy to make and gives you the satisfaction of biting into a sandwich. Grab a whole-grain pita pocket and stuff it with 1/2 ounce part-skim ricotta cheese.
- Blueberry Smoothie. A fruit smoothie offers a scrumptious way to get in some extra calcium and antioxidants during your day. Try blending 1/3 cup of nonfat yogurt with 2/3 cup of frozen blueberries and ice.
