1 cake mix, any type
ingredients on above cake mix package

Steps:

  • Make the cake mix, per the instructions on the package.
  • Using non-stick (or olive oil spray) cooking spray, spray an air fryer safe pan (see my suggestion in the recipe instructions)
  • Then set the air fryer safe pan with the cake mix inside of it into the air fryer. Set the time for 20 minutes at 320 degrees F. Check the cake is it done? If it is done, pull the cake out and let rest of the counter, for frosting/decoration. If it is not done, add another 5 minutes and check it. Is it done, if not repeat, until the cake is done?

100 ml Extra Virgin Olive Oil
250 ml Skimmed Milk

Steps:

  • Add your box cake mix into a bowl and load in your other ingredients.
  • Using a hand mixer, thoroughly mix your ingredients until you have a cake batter. Watch for kids stealing the batter!
  • Load your cake batter into a floured cake pan.
  • Air fry for 20 minutes at 150c/300f. Or if making chocolate cake adjust and cook for the last 5 minutes at 160c/320f.
  • Allow to cool and serve. Add icing to the top if that's your thing.

Did you know you can bake your cake in an air fryer? It is super simple to do, and perfect if you don't have a traditional oven, or if you just don't want to turn that oven on.

Cake batter of some sorts (I have plenty here on my show)
Frosting
Other toppings
Shortening for pan
Ingredients for the cake batter

Steps:

  • Prepare your cake batter by following a homemade recipe or the back of the cake mix box.
  • Take a cake pan that is small enough to fit in your air fryer basket and grease up the sides and bottom with shortening. Flour the sides and bottom as well, tapping the pan to remove the excess flour. Optionally add a round piece of parchment paper on the bottom of the pan.
  • Fill up the pan a little bit over halfway full. If you have any cake batter remaining you can make cupcakes with it. If using cake strips, soak them in water, wring them out, and then encircle the cake pan. This will help to evenly bake the cake and prevent doming.
  • Turn the air fryer temp to 350 F (176 C). Set the timer for 20 minutes. Allow it to heat up for a minute or two. Remove the basket and put it in your cake pan. Put the basket back inside the air fryer and let it do its thing. The cake will cook for 18 to 19 minutes.
  • After the timer goes off check it with a toothpick. Poke the cake in the middle; if the toothpick comes out clean it is ready to go. If there is still a bit of cake batter on it, cook the cake for 3 to 5 more minutes. BE CAREFUL when handling the cake pan it will be hot. If the pan has a handle do not grab it without wearing an oven mitt or silicone mitt.
  • Once baked, allow the cake to cool down in the pan for 10 to 12 minutes. Then remove it from the pan and place it on a wire rack to cool completely. Frost and decorate the cake however you like. Enjoy!

Steps:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 360 degrees F (180 degrees C) for about 3 minutes. Line air fryer basket with foil or a parchment liner, and spray with cooking spray.
  • Spread out chips in the fryer basket in a single layer, slightly overlapping chips, so the cheese doesn't melt through. Lightly dust chips with taco seasoning to get a pop of taco flavor, and sprinkle with shredded cheese. Don't overcrowd the basket.
  • Top cheese with olives and tomatoes and place basket in the air fryer.
  • Air-fry until cheese is melted and chips are starting to slightly brown on the edges, 5 to 6 minutes. Watch closely to be sure the cheese doesn't burn. If necessary, add additional time until you reach your preferred crispness.
  • Move nachos to a plate, garnish with chopped cilantro, and serve immediately.

1 egg

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Spray a small fluted tube pan with cooking spray.
  • Beat butter and 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar together in a bowl using an electric mixer until light and creamy. Add egg and mix until smooth and fluffy. Stir in flour and salt. Add milk and mix batter thoroughly. Transfer batter to the prepared pan; use the back of a spoon to level the surface.
