Perfect Turkey Breast Roast in the Air Fryer image

Perfectly cooked turkey breast roast in an air fryer. Comes out juicy, flavorful, and tender.

1 (3 pound) frozen turkey breast roast
2 cups water
⅓ cup kosher salt
⅓ cup brown sugar
ground black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter, or as needed
1 pinch seasoned salt, or to taste (such as Texas Roadhouse®)

Steps:

  • Thaw frozen turkey breast in the refrigerator for about 24 hours.
  • Bring water to a boil and stir in kosher salt, brown sugar, and pepper. Remove brine from heat and let cool completely, about 30 minutes. Remove turkey breast from wrapper and leave netting in place if possible. Place turkey into a container and cover with cooled brine; add more water if necessary to completely cover, stirring to ensure brine is mixed with water. Let turkey brine for 8 hours, or overnight, in the refrigerator.
  • Preheat an air fryer to 390 degrees F (200 degrees C) according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Remove turkey and discard the brine. Pat turkey dry. Rub with butter and coat with seasoned salt and pepper.
  • Cook turkey in the preheated air fryer for 15 minutes; turn, remove netting, and season once more. Reduce temperature to 360 degrees F (182 degrees C). Continue to cook for 20 minutes, turning after 15 minutes. Increase temperature to 390 degrees F (200 degrees C), turn, and cook until no longer pink in the center, about 15 minutes more. Remove turkey and let rest for about 5 minutes before cutting and serving.

4 pound turkey breast (on the bone with skin (ribs removed))
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons kosher
1/2 tablespoon dry turkey or poultry seasoning (I used Bell's which has not salt)

Steps:

  • Rub 1/2 tablespoon of oil all over the turkey breast. Season both sides with salt and turkey seasoning then rub in the remaining half tablespoon of oil over the skin side.
  • Preheat the air fryer 350F and cook skin side down 20 minutes, turn over and cook until the internal temperature is 160F using an instant-read thermometer about 30 to 40 minutes more depending on the size of your breast. Let is rest 10 minutes before carving.

3 pound Turkey Breast Half (Bone-in or Boneless) (thawed)
2 teaspoons Olive Oil
1 teaspoon Sea Salt
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
1 teaspoon Poultry Seasoning

Steps:

  • Allow TURKEY BREAST to rest at room temperature about 20 minutes to remove the chill. (optional, but recommended for even heat distribution)
  • Preheat the air fryer to 370°F.
  • Remove all excess moisture from the turkey breast with paper towels and trim any loose skin.
  • Lightly coat the whole surface with OLIVE OIL, SALT, PEPPER, and POULTRY SEASONING.
  • Place breast side down in the fryer basket (if using bone-in breast).
  • Air fry for 20 minutes.
  • Carefully flip the turkey over and air fry another 10 to 15 minutes until it registers 165°F on a quick read thermometer inserted in the thickest part.Note: Boneless turkey breast will take closer to an hour and requires additional flipping as needed to promote evenly browned surface.
  • Transfer to a covered dish to rest about 5 minutes.
  • To serve, slice turkey breast against the grain and serve warm.

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh chives
1 teaspoon finely minced fresh garlic
½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
2 tablespoons cold unsalted butter
2 ¾ pounds skin-on, bone-in split turkey breast

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place rosemary, chives, garlic, salt, and pepper onto a cutting board. Cut butter into thin slices on top of herbs and seasonings and mash until well blended.
  • Pat turkey breast dry and rub with herbed butter on both sides and under the skin.
  • Place turkey into the basket of the air fryer, skin-side down, and fry for 20 minutes.
  • Turn turkey to skin-side up carefully and continue frying until an instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone reads 165 degrees F (74 degrees C), about 18 minutes more. Transfer to a platter and tent with aluminum foil; allow to rest for 10 minutes. Slice and serve warm.
