APPLE BANANA CAKE

Steps:

• Whisk together flour, brown sugar, salt, baking soda and cinnamon. Stir in grated apples, mashed bananas, melted butter, eggs and vanilla extract with spoon. Fold in nuts.
• Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray and pour batter into the dish. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven 45 to 50 minutes until center tests done. Let cool and frost or sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving. Makes 12 servings.

APPLE BANANA CAKE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
• Combine all the wet ingredients in large bowl and mix well.
• Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl and mix well.
• Add dry to wet ingredients and mix thoroughly.
• Pour into an UNgreased 9"x13" pan.
• Bake for 1 hour.

BANANA APPLESAUCE CAKE

Steps:

• In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg yolk. Beat in extracts. Combine flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition., In a small bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form; gently fold into batter. Pour into three greased 9-in. round baking pans. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool for 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks to cool completely. , Divide applesauce and spread over two cake layers. Dip bananas in lemon juice; arrange over applesauce. Stack on serving plate with plain layer on top. , For frosting, in a large heavy saucepan, combine the sugar, egg whites, water, cream of tartar and salt over low heat. With a hand mixer, beat on low speed for 1 minute. Continue beating on low over low heat until frosting reaches 160°, about 8-10 minutes. , Pour into a large bowl; add vanilla. Beat on high until stiff peaks form, about 7 minutes. Frost sides and top of cake. Sprinkle with coconut. Store in the refrigerator.

APPLE BANANA CUPCAKES

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease and flour 24 muffin cups, or use paper liners. Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
• In a large bowl, cream together the shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and buttermilk. Beat in the flour mixture, mixing just until incorporated. Fold in the mashed bananas and shredded apples. Fill each muffin cup half full.
• Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool.

FRESH APPLE-BANANA CAKE

Steps:

• Put apples and bananas in bowl.
• Add sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla.
• Add flour, soda, cinnamon, nuts and raisins.
• mix well.
• Bake in greased and floured 9x13" at 350 for 1 hour.

APPLE AND BANANA CAKE

Steps:

• Heat oven to 350°F.
• Combine flour, baking powder and baking soda. Beat cream cheese, butter and granulated sugar in large bowl with mixer until blended. Add bananas, apples, lemon zest and eggs; mix well. Gradually add flour mixture, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 1/2 cup nuts.
• Pour into 9-inch square pan sprayed with cooking spray; sprinkle with remaining nuts.
• Bake 45 to 50 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.
• Sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving.

EASY BANANA AND APPLE CAKE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Grease and line a 900g/2lb loaf tin.
• Cream together the sugar and butter and then gradually beat in the eggs
• Stir in the mashed bananas and apple and sieve in the flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt.
• Once well mixed, tip into the loaf tin and bake for 60 mins. If it starts to go too dark on top then cover with foil and keep checking the with a knife that it comes out clean to see if it's cooked.
• Once cooked, remove to a wire wrack and cool in the tin for 20-30 mins. Remove from the tin onto the rack and finish cooling completely before dusting with icing sugar.
