APPLE PIE CHEESE BALL
This quick and simple cheese ball always goes over well when taken to parties. It's pretty and delicious too. And no cooking! Serve with apple wedges, gingersnaps, or graham crackers.

Steps:
- Beat cream cheese and butter together in a bowl using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy; add 1/4 cup brown sugar, confectioners' sugar, apple pie spice, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and vanilla extract and beat until smooth. Transfer cheese mixture to a piece of plastic wrap. Wrap plastic wrap around cheese, forming a ball; refrigerate until set, at least 2 hours.
- Mix pecans, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon together on a shallow plate. Unwrap cheese ball and roll in the pecan mixture until evenly coated, pressing to help topping stick to cheese ball.

One of my friends made something similar to this at a party, and I loved it. I asked for the recipe but lost it, and ended up trying to make it by memory. It may not be the original recipe, but its darn good! It has a sweeter taste than your average cheese ball. Excellent with Sesame Seed Crackers.

- In medium to large bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and cinnamon. Beat until well blended.
- Stir in apples until evenly distributed.
- Shape mixture into a ball by rolling it around inside the bowl.
- Once ball is formed, pour crushed nuts into a second bowl, and roll cheese ball in the crushed nuts until the outside is covered.
- Presenting the cheese ball on a plate, place cinnamon stick and bay leaf in the top of the ball to make it look like an apple.

Serve with vanilla wafers or sugar cookies.

- Beat cream cheese, onion, Worcestershire sauce and mustard in large bowl until blended. Mix in Cheddar cheese. Cover and refrigerate about 2 hours or until firm enough to shape.
- Divide cheese mixture in half. Shape 1 half into a ball on waxed paper. Sprinkle another piece of waxed paper with paprika. Roll cheese ball in paprika, coating thoroughly. Mold into apple shape. Repeat with remaining cheese mixture.
- To garnish, make small depression in stem ends of apples. Cut 2 small pieces from cinnamon stick. Insert cinnamon stick pieces for stems. Insert sage leaves. Serve cheese balls with crackers.
