Naturally sweetened with Truvia, diabetic people can now enjoy this flaky and decadent apple crisp without the fear of consuming too much sugar.

For Filling:
4 sliced apples
½ cup water
1 tbsp plus 2¼ tsp more Truvia® natural sweetener spoonable
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground nutmeg
non-stick cooking spray
For Crisp:
1 cup rolled oats
1 tbsp plus 2¼ tsp more Truvia® natural sweetener spoonable
2¼ tsp Truvia® natural sweetener spoonable
¼ cup all-purpose flour
1½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ cup melted butter
1½ tbsp brown sugar
⅛ tsp salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Filling:
  • Place apples in a large bowl; sprinkle with water, Truvia natural sweetener, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg; toss to coat the fruit.
  • Spray a 9-inch baking dish with non-stick spray; place apple mixture in dish.
  • Crisp:
  • In a separate small bowl, combine oats, Truvia natural sweetener, flour, cinnamon, melted butter, brown sugar, and salt; stir to form a crumbly mixture.
  • Sprinkle crumb mixture on top of apples.
  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until apples are tender.
  • Serve and enjoy.
