Delicious and moist bread. Wonderful served warm and slathered with honey butter or great to use for making French toast. Bake time is according to bread machine.

1 1/4 cups applesauce
2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 cups bread flour
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients to bread machine in order given by the manufacturer.
  • Check the dough after 5 minutes of kneading; if too wet, add more flour.

1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine, cut into small pieces
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 1/2 cups grain cereal, POST SELECTS GREAT GRAINS
1 1/2 cups bread flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon active dry yeast

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients in exact order listed and prepare dough according to your bread machines manufacturer's directions.
  • For best results, use light crust or sweet dough setting if available.

1/2 cup apple juice
2/3 cup applesauce
1/2 cup apple, grated
1 pinch nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
4 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
2 1/4 cups bread flour
1 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast
1 tablespoon margarine

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients to machine in order recommended by machine manufacturer. (mine is wet first).
  • Select "white bread" setting; crust color medium; 1 1/2 lb loaf.

1 1/2 cups Raisin Bran cereal
1 cup milk
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups finely chopped peeled apples (about 2 small)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Grease 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
  • Combine raisin bran cereal, milk, applesauce, eggs and vanilla. Let stand for 10 minutes.
  • Stir to break up cereal. Stir in apples and walnuts.
  • Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and baking soda.
  • Add cereal mixture all at once to flour mixture and stir just until moistened.
  • Spread evenly in prepared pan.
  • Bake 60 to 65 minutes or until tester inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Let cool 15 minutes before removing from pan.
